L’Occitane Rose Jardin Delice ~ new perfume

L'Occitane Rose Jardin DéliceL'Occitane Rose Jardin Délice

L’Occitane has launched Rose Jardin Délice, a new fragrance for women:

A fragrance to herald the coming of spring… A fresh, tender, juicy, fruity floral Eau de Toilette, enriched with rose essential oils and infusions of raspberry and cranberry. Rose Jardin Délice combines the sunny sweetness of wild roses with the delicious scent of mouth-watering berries.

Béatrix, the young and romantic lady of Forcalquier, loves to wander through the countryside surrounding the castle imagining the day when she, just like her three sisters, would become queen. She would breathe in the scent of her favorite flowers: roses, with cheerful, radiant colours, that fill the air with a fruity aroma. As an ode to this perfumed journey, the Jardin Délice Eau de Toilette blends delicate roses and fruity berries in a light, carefree and vibrant composition.

The notes feature bergamot, lychee, blackcurrant, rose, raspberry, cranberry, cedar, sandalwood and musk.

L’Occitane Rose Jardin Délice is available in 75 ml Eau de Toilette, 100 ml Perfumed Hair Mist, in a Roll-on duo with 5.5 ml fragrance and 5.5 ml lip gloss, and in matching body products. (quote via loccitane-me, additional information via loccitane.com.sg)

A little too fruity for me, but I do like the print ad.

You’ve tried it already? Or it just sounds too fruity?

It sounds too fruity for me. Sorry ’bout that.

Don’t be sorry, I was just curious if anyone had smelled it yet.

Some of their fragrances are quite nice and the prices are reasonable. I saw this mention, and it reminded me how much I liked Feuille d’Herbe, which has been discontinued. A nice blend of tomato leaf, citrus and grassy notes.

I liked some of them too, but fewer of them lately. Maybe just bad luck on my part…

Didn’t Bear ask the other day what is going to be the most overused note in 2011? I think it will be rose and or raspberry. And I LIKE roses. Did anyone smell the L’occitane Rose & Riene? Is that any good? Are rose eau’s L’Occitane’s new thing?

Hi Ann – I’ve tried the Roses 4 Reines scent massage oil and still have a good portion of the diffuser oil (I have a diffuser, but don’t really use it). To me, the rose is not really up front, but it’s a clean, pretty floral scent.

Thanks for the review. I always get kind of excited when I see roses in a perfume and am generally happy they are making a comeback in mass market, but I realize a lot of them won’t cut the rosy mustard for me. Although I do like that Happ & Stahns Rosa Alba ….

Victoria has a review of the candle on her blog today – she seems to find it rosy. With me, if you don’t whack me over the head with the flower (i.e., pure rose), I have trouble identifying it as such.

Ann, they do seem to be doing more florals lately, rose included, and fewer of what I thought they did well: simple things like the citrus & green tea scents.

I’ll try the hair mist. It can afford to be a little fruity.

Good rose-berry blends are something I enjoy and I’ve yet to try a L’Occitane perfume that I absolutely didn’t like. Even if they aren’t my favorite, they’re still pretty and well made. I’d like to try this and think the hair mist would be lovely.

Sounds nice. If the rose is watery instead of powdery, it may be worthwhile. Rosine has a rose & berry combination doesn’t she?

Here they’re launching a plum flower fragrance on the 7th of February. I tried it yesterday. Not detecting any specific fragrance in plum blossoms before I can’t comment on how plummy it really smells, but since Fleur Cherie they seem to be getting more chemical with each launch.

Yesterday I sprayed Herba Fresca on my wrist in Sephora, only to hear the beautiful, junior and remarcably tactless SA tell me “Yikes, what was that? I wouldn’t have that as a bathroom freshener!” :-D
Really, they get younger and dumber each month in Sephora.

beautiful fragrance. Love the raspberry and rose blend. The rose is not to powdery.
