Kenzo will launch Kenzo Homme Eau de Toilette Boisée / Woody in September. The new fragrance for men is a flanker to 1991′s Kenzo Pour Homme (now known as Kenzo Homme or KenzoHomme).
The strength of wood rises from the roots to the treetops. Like a tree, the KENZO man draws his strength from the energy of the earth. His gaze clears a path towards the sky. Without barriers. Without limits.
Kenzo Homme Eau de Toilette Boisée / Woody is a woody aromatic fragrance, and was developed by perfumer Olivier Polge. The notes include mint, basil, black pepper, rosemary, Atlas cedar and Haitian vetiver.
Kenzo Homme Eau de Toilette Boisée / Woody will be available in 30, 50 and 100 ml. (via press release)

Got Wood?
All the Kenzos are well done, and I am sure this will be nice too. But the name – ack. Very, um, manly.
They do usually do a good job. This one definitely sounds better in the French.
Yes, boisee is a nice sounding word indeed! But then again, the French are just reading “wood” too, lol. Wood is wood is wood, n’est-ce pa?
Not to my limited knowledge of French slang – but hey, I’m no native speaker. Bela? We need you!
Francophone here! I would translate boisée by wooded: eau de toilette boisée -> wooded eau de toilette. wood -> bois.
Hi,
I personaly would translate “boisé” by “woody”
Since the fragrance is going to be a woody interpretation of the original.
That ad copy is really impressive. So few words… so much hilarity.
It is kind of silly, but I like Kenzo so I forgive them most anything. Hope they’ll do a commercial for this one — I adore their commercials.
How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
Ha!
Is wood becoming the new marine/ozone?
If it is, I say, “Hallelujwood!!!”
Ditto!
I’ve never tried Kenzomme or any of the many names it goes by. These notes sound so manly — and like a nice rub for grilled meats to boot.
I am currently considering a swap including a few ml of Tokyo — anyone have any comments on that one?
Joe, it was ok, but I didn’t love it. I think it’s done well though.
Oh…Rictor’s comment below has me wondering if I am thinking of Tokyo or Power. Ack, not sure, I might have them confused in my mind. So never mind!!
I think Jungle was my least favorite Kenzo, and then Tokyo. I recall liking Power and Leau Par Kenzo Eau Indigo Pour Homme the best.
Glad to see Polge is doing it. I thought Power was pretty good but not enough to want it. Tokyo just smelled bad -on paper or skin- that’s all I can say. Kenzo really needs a good masculine. I admire but don’t want to wear their frags due to the synthetic/mod vibe most of them have. It works well in Amour and Flower though- love those two.
oh my brother’s got Kenzo pour homme
I wonder what this is like
Well it has finally arrived here and I must say that I like it, but I would love it if the cedar was a bit stronger.
I didn’t like the original Kenzo pour homme (the fragrance “wore me” as it was too strong) but this I can picture using
