I actually laughed out loud over the prices here. $12 for 50 ml? On what planet? Well Planet Avon, I suppose, but wow…

It’s a funny world where you can either pay $12 for 50 ml or $100 for a bunch of test strips!

Confession time: as a child Sweet Honesty was the first “perfume” that I became inthrawled with….

That must be true for many people! I know I’ve smelled it but can’t remember it at all.

I still love that one! I wouldn’t wear it now, but it certainly doesn’t smell bad.

I remember liking Sweet Honesty when I was quite young…maybe 9 or 10? But can’t for the life of me recall what it smelled like….

I wonder if they made the word “Just” that tiny on purpose? Almost all you see is “Play”.

I’m sure it’s meant to be small.

I wore Odyssesy and Night Odyssey when I was in jr. high. I wish Avon would bring back some of the oldies like Topaz (or was it Topaze?). Sweet Honesty was my sister’s frag, hence I hated it. lol

I don’t remember any of those! I never had access to Avon products.

That is sad. You missed out on some fun.My late Aunt used to collect the bottles back in the 1970’s and as a child I, of course had to sniff them. She had everything, from Chanel No.19 and 5 to Avon. Those were the days.

Topaz still exists! Funny, compared to some of the fruity floral celeb scents today, a lot of those old Avon’s aren’t that bad.

Really??? I had no idea! Must go scour the internet for it. I’m sure it’s been reformulated but as you said, it’s still better than some of the more expensive/popular offerings today.

Odyssey was good, too. I wore that in my starving artist days when I couldn’t afford anything that wasn’t given to me.

Exactly. I never bought it for myself, it was given to me at Christmas time. Usually by my cousin in our gift exchange. I’ve smelled Odyssey today and don’t think I could tolerate it. I think it’s got Calone or something melony-aquatic in it now. And I always liked Night Odyssey a bit better because it had musk in it.

Funny how your memory of scent changes–I recall it being very powdery and musky. The melon-aquatic thing makes me gag. Literally. So I guess I wouldn’t like it now, either.

Time warps sure are fun. I remember Sweet Honesty. Haven’t had the chance to smell this new one or the Just Play for men, but I tried the Just Play for women and I love the sandalwood in there, but the tea rose was a little too on the watery side for me.(Which may explain why it didn’t last longer than 30 minutes on me, if that.) Anyhow, does anyone remember Arianne or Zany?

I had bottles of Arianne, Topaz, Candid and Foxfire. When I was eight. I have no idea where I wore them to. Second grade? I was either the best or the worst-smelling kid on the playground.

To A Wild Rose was my girlhood Avon – loved that stuff.
I occasionally get a small bottle of something Avon when they are having a sale. Some of their scents are very comfort-womanly and nice to wear to bed.

Have not heard of that one, but sounds nice!

Ugh. “Just Play” looks like something I wouldn’t give to anyone over eight years of age. Then again, I’m probably an elitist.

I’m probably an elitist too. Ha.

I remember To a Wild Rose! It was nice…I think. Does anyone else remember the bottle Sweet Honesty came in, for a time? It was the cutest little skunk! And no, I do not collect Avon bottles. Please don’t mock me for this: I have Avon’s Rare Gold and occasionally wear it–it’s rather good on me. Okay, you can mock me if you really want to .

I have never smelled it so can’t possibly mock you!

Sweet Honesty Everlasting has a similar lasting fragrance of Juicy Couture or Coach original perfume. I will be purchasing this one.

      It’s a bargain then…cheaper than either.
