I got sort of a sugar rush when I read this!

It does sound really sweet. I can’t remember 5th Avenue at all, although I know I smelled it once.

Haven’t sniffed a single thing by Elizabeth Arden…that I recall…and I know that a note list is barely worth the paper it’s written on but really, to me this sounds like a fruity-floral-chocolate-vanilla mess.
Just throw in a little of everything fellas! take a spoon and mix it up.

Me either… I have never used ANYTHING by Elizabeth Arden.

It does sound awfully sweet. I think the only EA I have ever worn is Sunflowers, many moons ago.

Embarrassingly, in my younger years I wore waaaay too much of that Red Door of theirs. So all I think about when I think of Elizabeth Arden is having the ability to clear a room.

I wore 5th Avenue when it first came out and remember liking it then, but this flanker sounds like the fruit salad sundae special.

The oddest note to me is moss. So this is a fruity floral gourmand chypre?!

To clarify, I love moss. But it doesn’t seem to fit with the other notes in this fragrance. It definitely sounds like a mish-mash.

Well, the presence of moss doesn’t necessarily make it a chypre…they’re calling it a fruity floriental.

Isn’t Elizabeth Arden behind Mariah Carey’s stuff? If so, I have smelled M and I actually liked it. Shame on me. *Blushing* Oh and I smelled ‘Pretty’ recently – pretty awful imho.

Yes, they are! I only smelled Pretty very quickly, but it wasn’t as interesting as it could have been.

Hmm I am fond of EA’s discontinued Provocative Interlude…
I wonder if this will be a suitable replacement?

I just think it’s weird that the creator of one of my top 3 scents (haven’t found the other 2 yet!) L’homme Sage is the nose behind this AND baby phat fabulosity. Somehow I wish I never knew that.

It is odd, isn’t it? Just shows how little control perfumers have over what they make….they’re working to please the brand.

Someone needs to do a count – Fifth Avenue and Red Door strike me as having some of the most (non seasonal) flankers ever.

The Original 5th Avenue was some Seriously Sexy Refined Juice! I Loved it! Very Warm and Vaguely Floral, But Refined, Sensuous almost and RICH Smelling, Like 5th Avenue should be. it was IMHO a Minor Masterpiece in the EA Canon… not something to send shivers down one’s spine, but definitely a great smelling perfume! this sounds Lusciously Delicious! YUM! smelling it already in my head!

But is there a major masterpiece in the EA cannon? It isn’t one of my favorite houses.
