Faith Hill by Faith Hill ~ new perfume

Faith Hill for Faith Hill perfumeCountry star Faith Hill will launch Faith Hill, her debut perfume, in October. The new scent was made under arrangements with Coty, and will follow her husband Tim McGraw’s second fragrance release, Southern Blend.

The Faith Hill perfume was developed by perfumer Caroline Sabas, and features notes of crisp pear, neroli, pink peony, magnolia, jasmine, gardenia, cashmere skin musk, iris and smoky vetiver.

Faith Hill by Faith Hill Parfums will be available in 15, 30 and 50 ml Eau de Toilette, and will be sold in mass-market stores. (via wwd)

Update: from Cosmeticworld ~

Hill was intimately involved with the creation of the scent and chose notes that were evocative of happy moments in her life.

“Pink peonies are one of my favorite flowers,” she stated. “They’re charming and the petals always remind me of crushed silk…I also love a southern magnolia—the sweet, floral scent reminds me of my home in Nashville and growing up in Mississippi.”

off topic, but I really want to know what Rihanna’s perfume is supposed to smell like.
I already made one up in my mind about a year ago :) :) :)

I’m sure Rihanas will smell like fruit since she wears perfumes like Moonsparkle by Escada and Momoberry by Hello Kitty….

Fruity is what I had in mind, but not a generic fruity perfume. But it probably would be a generic fruity perfume because they don’t have meeeee doing it.

I guess if Shania Twain has a celebuscent or two, there must be a Faith Hill… this one sounds pleasant, if unmemorable.

(Geez, I’ve gotten jaded fast! Seven months in and I’m dismissing stuff without smelling it… I’m still obsessed with classics, I suppose.)

Are Faith Hill & Shania Twain the two biggest female country stars? (serious question, I really don’t know)

Taylor Swift, I think. She apparently counts as country lol.

Faith Hill and Shania Twain are still considered Leading Ladies of Country music but I wouldn’t consider them the biggest. I think that honor still belongs to Dolly Parton with Reba McEntire coming in a close 2nd. Taylor Swift is the latest ingenue unseating Leann Rimes who is now considered passe at 27. ;)
I wouldn’t be surprised to see perfumes from any of these ladies.

Oh, Dolly Parton! I love her! I have Dolly Parton parties every year. Why doesn’t SHE have a fragrance??

Oh, I would totally buy a Dolly perfume! Unsniffed! Just because I love a lady who says “It costs a lot of money to look this cheap.” :)

It’d better be water based, because otherwise she could put herself in serious danger of melting something.

          oh snap!

Shania and Faith are supposedly good friends too.

As someone who lives in the the capitol of country music, I agree with Fuddy Duddy. However I believe Martina McBride has surpassed even Reba. She definitely the most powerful singer in the genre, although Reba’s been around longer.

Ack, I have never heard of MM at all!

Here’s some of her music: http://www.youtube.com/user/martinamcbride?blend=1&ob=4

The other one who’s huge right now is Carrie Underwood, one of the American Idol winners. I don’t listen to country much, but living in Nashville, it’s hard to escape it sometimes!

Country is not my favorite music genre either [by far], but I’ve heard MM a few times and I think she has a great voice. This link is to a song [I'm pretty sure she wrote it] that has the most positive wonderful message – words to live by… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1FdB5Adws78

This sounds very predictable to me, but it’s in line with many (not all) celeb scents, relatively safe….

Pear, Iris, Magnolia, Jasmine, Gardenia…. Not a bad list of ingredients… might be worth a look! I think Faith Hill is one of the more tolerable Celebrities at the moment, Her and her Husband are truly Beautiful People Phyiscally and seem to be really genuinely nice people… so i will give it a chance! :-) Might be very well done!

I wonder how well it would layer with her husband’s? I’m surprised they didn’t co-launch something together; they seem like a pretty tight couple. His sounds a little more intersting to me, tho’ this sounds fine, too…safe, as someone mentioned.

    I think the Perfumed Court should make a celebrity scent sampler pack. Hee. ; }

DH has been watching some show lately that features Tim McGraw’s cologne every other ad break. It cracks me up every time. “McGraw. The cologne by Tim McGraw.” I’m cracking myself up just typing it!
    Maybe it’s just me.

I tried this (Faith Hill’s new perfume) last night at the drug store. Smelled pretty good. Also smelled EXACTLY, and I mean you would not be able to tell the difference, like Juicy Couture! (which is fine by me, as Faith’s perfume was only $25!) In fact’s, Faith’s was less cloying and “sugary” than I find JC’s version.

That is a bargain if it’s a pretty close dupe!

I like Faith as a performer, and I am a huge perfume collector, but this one I have to pass on… unfortunately alot of Coty’s “base” or what they put the scent in smells like cheap air freshener with alcohol in it. I smelled this cologne, then tried it on to see how it would wear out, and it was very faint, more of a chemical scent to it. I did not smell the magnolia at all, the new one with alot of that is the Kardashian girl’s new cologne. I notice that alot of Coty’s celeb cologne’s have this chemical smelling base to it, and that overpowers the actual scents in the cologne. I was completely expecting more, and as far as Shania’s cologne, I had to wipe it off when I tried that one! I think it may be best for some celebs to stick to their day jobs and not automatically think they have to have a ‘scent’. The best celeb cologne for me personally has been Paris Hilton’s Can Can. Long lasting, and a very unique scent. Other than that, leave the cologne making to the ones who do it best!

I have not tried it yet so can’t really comment, but in general I do think Coty does a pretty good job within their limits…this one is mass market, so I’m sure not as much was spent on the juice as Parlux was able to spend on Paris Hilton’s. On the other side of the scale, most Coty Prestige scents strike me as far better than PH’s…so it all depends!

I recieved this fragrance as a gift set. When I inititally smelled it in the bottle I did not care for it and almost gave it away, but decided to try it on. I tend to wear fruity/florals such as Clinque Happy/Happy Heart/Escada Moonsparkle etc. Lately I have been wanting a more “mature” perfume for florida winters and I tend to stay away from musks. I put the fragrance on and I was pleasantly suprised on on how it smelled on me. It’s quite fabulous. I got numerous compliments from my boys, husband, and a couple of friends. It does wear out quickly. I do not smell any “chemical” smell or cheapness other then it wearing out and being faint, but I prefer it not be too strong anyway. I say it’s worth a try, if you want it to last longer get the gift set with the lotion.
