2008 UK Jasmine Award winners

The 2008 UK Jasmine Awards (“celebrating excellence in fragrance journalism”) ceremony was held on March 11, 2009. This year’s winners include:

Jasmine Literary Award (magazine): Susan Irvine for “The Scents of Nostalgia”, November issue of Vogue.

Jasmine Literary Award (news press): Hannah Betts for “Let us Spray”, Guardian Weekend on 6th December.

Best Article on Men’s Fragrance: Dr. Luca Turin for “Talking Scents”, October issue of Esquire.

Best Website Feature on Fragrance: Liz Upton for “Body Odour – or how I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Musk”, Basenotes, 20th July.

The other category winners are currently displayed at the Jasmine Awards website.

    So–are these for British journalists only, then? Seems strange not to see Chandler Burr's name anywhere up there.

    A, I couldn't figure that out from the website. But it's the sort of thing where you nominate yourself anyway, & presumably not everyone would bother?
