Ack! Just when I was (really) contemplating a no-buy! This sounds great (to me)!

I want to get this scent too. It sounds wonderful. I thought I read that there was going to be an agarwood note to this new scent? Maybe I read wrong. Well, sounds like this one may be wonderful.

I don't buy anything anyway but shudder at the words “no-buy”, LOL…but happily, this one sounds like it isn't going to suit me. We'll see though! But keep waiting for the rumored Olivia Giacobetti I heard about 2 years ago, and hope it wasn't a baseless rumor.

The forum at Amabilia says agarwood, so we'll see, perhaps they are right!

R, Luis at the FM boutique at Barneys a few weeks ago would not divulge much to me, but he did say that Olivia was “in the works…” so we will see. I tried to get as much out of him as I could. I knew about this new Pierre Bourdon fragrance from him, but pleased to know it now has a name – and how quirky and fun it is!!

“French Lover”…..the name sounds like a cheap designer fragrance, but the fragrance notes do sound good. A Kouros for the niche crowd ? (pierre bourdon also created kouros)

LOL — he is the one who told me 2 (!) years ago that we'd see a leather by OG. Still waiting…

I own this scent, and absolutely love it! It may not be for everyone, however. It is bone-dry and resinous, with pronounced incense and wood notes. There are NO softening elements at all (e.g., floral, vanilla, amber). This is lean, austere, and quietly assertive. In my opinion it is very masculine, and excellent.

I really liked it too — much more than I thought I would.
