Paris Jardins Romantiques, L’Homme Yves Saint Laurent Eau d’Été & other limited editions from YSL

Yves Saint Laurent Paris Jardins Romantiques perfumeYves Saint Laurent has a bumper crop of limited edition fragrances scheduled for release in March.

This year's limited edition of Paris will be Paris Jardins Romantiques (shown):

As its name suggests, this sixth spring edition has a garden theme. The fresh floral juice features notes of mandarin, freshly mown grass, rose, lilac, violet and woods.

Last year's L'Homme Yves Saint Laurent gets a summer version: “L’Homme Yves Saint Laurent Eau d’Été is a blend of bergamot, Chinese ginger, ozone, basil and pepper”. And Kouros gets updated with the Kouros Tattoo Collector edition (the men's fragrance comes with temporary tattoos): “The fresh, aquatic juice includes notes of bergamot, mandarin, neroli, cedar, incense and musk.”

Also look for a new version of Cinéma Festival d'Été (clementine, rosemary, jasmine, peony, amber, vanilla and white musk). (via moodiereport)

The original Paris is the kind of fragrance that I really admire, but can't wear. Roses always remind me of my grandmother. Elegant, but too much for me. Monday's best scent: hot coffee! :)

Hot tea for me, but same idea! I used to love Paris, but it is too sweet for me now. Will certainly try this new one if I see it though :-)

As a matter on fact, I'm wearing roses today (Trésor Sheer)! :) Just forgot, maybe because it doesn't smell like roses to me. Hugs!

i just can't get into limited editions – either i hate them or else i love them and the idea of not being able to procure them forever makes me anxious. i made a vow not to smell any LE fragrance. you can imagine the nanosecond that lasted…

I gave the Tresor Sheer only a very brief try on a scent strip, must give it a try on skin :-)

Generally I find flankers boring, but this LE jardin has me intrigued, as it's got some nice notes listed. I love Paris, but roses do not love my skin, so this sounds like a nice alternative!

The past Paris LEs I've smelled are still pretty focused on the rose. But haven't tried this one yet (haven't even seen it, although wouldn't be surprised if Saks NY has it on counter).

I guess you'd find it too sweet and fruity. I love the fragrance just because of its sweetness. It makes me feel pretty and feminine with some kind of “lady aura”. I usually wear it at night, but it's not heavy enough for the day (perfect!). I just don't understand why they define it as “fresh”.

Yes, guessing it would be too sweet for me as the original Tresor is, although I think it is a great scent. Will still see if I can try it :-)
