New fragrances from KISS to launch this fall

Kiss fragrances

As previously reported, KISS, the iconic rock band of the 70s, will join the celebrity fragrance fray in September with debut scents for men and women. KISS for women

…features top notes of apple-tini, wet fig leaves, racy bull accord and red peppercorns; middle notes of red poppy, black orchid, sueded frangipani petals and calla lily, and base notes of amber crystals, musky bare skin accord, patent leather and mahogany.

Taking votes now on what “racy bull accord” might be. KISS for men

…is composed of top notes of bergamot, white pepper, anise and black cumin; middle notes of lavender, cypress, dark rum and fir balsam, and base notes of sandalwood, tonka, moss and honeyed amber crystals. (via Women’s Wear Daily)

Band member Paul Stanley asserts that…

Like KISS, these fragrances make no apologies for embodying an attitude that is unrepentedly sexy, aggressive and incredibly unique. (link to this quote no longer working, sorry!)

Are we ready?

Is it me or is this celebrity fragrance thing out of control?

Well, as Gene Simmons has always said, KISS doesn't just want to be a rock-and-roll band… they want to be a rock-and-roll BRAND.
    ;)

LOL — it isn't going to end anytime soon, from what I can see. I think the market is so oversaturated with *all* kinds of fragrances that anything a company can do to stand out, they will do.

Apparently they were already doing a bang up job of that before the fragrances, so this will just be one more source of easy income ;-)

I think they've got an apparel line planned as well (?)

You'd think a cosmetics line would be the obvious target, wouldn't you?

It wouldn't surprise me if that is coming too, but on the other hand, women would hardly turn to KISS for the natural look, LOL…

Haha…I'm guessing “Racy Bull Accord”, is the lovely essence of a bull chasing a festival runner—there's nothing quite as provocative as the scent of territorial aggresion, from an agitated bull.

LOL…would think territorial aggression would go in the men's fragrance, but what do I know ;-)

No offence but I'm holding out for Marilyn Manson's fragrance. I never did get into KISS.

I wasn't in to Kiss either, but sad to say I don't know a darn thing about Marilyn Manson other than the makeup thing.
