New fragrance launches: Guerlain & Deborah

Guerlain Colours of Love perfume

Guerlain will launch Colours of Love, a new limited edition fragrance for women, in February:

A powdery floral, the juice opens on notes of grapefruit, kiwi, passion fruit and violet, leading to a heart of rose, mimosa, cassia flower and iris. The base is a blend of musk and ambrette seed.

Guerlain Colours of Love is available in 50 ml Eau de Toilette.

Also coming in February for the Asian market: Guerlain Lovely Cherry Blossom Gold Sparkles, “a blend of bergamot, green tea, lilac, jasmine and red fruits”, and later in the summer, L’Instant D’Un Été. (via moodiereport)

Coming soon from Deborah: a men’s fresh aromatic fougere “named after Italian Formula 1 race driver Giancarlo Fisichella“. (via cosmeticnews)

    Happy Thanksgiving R!

That new Guerlain doesn't look or sound like a Guerlain, how sad.

Guerlain seem to have brought out nothing but a series of pinkish little-girl scents recently. It's as if they're under contract to Barbie.

M, it is the latest in that series that usually (but not this time) starts as duty-free exclusive (Love is All, etc). They have all seemed kind of un-Guerlainish, but the picture on the box is more so than usual!

N, Barbie was the first thing I thought of when I saw the packaging!

Oh, and happy Thanksgiving, R and all the other US posters! Us Brits don't have Thanksgiving and most of us know nothing about it (in denial…) and get baffled by all the talk of food and cooking.

N, Thank! It is all about eating…and if that didn't also mean massive amounts of cooking, it would be my favorite holiday :-)

    Happy Thanksgiving!

Oh, no! Not another Cherry Blossom…. Ok, I shall just be thankful today, not cranky.

LOL — the names actually amuse me, and I rarely get to smell them so they don't bother me ;-)

Oh no, Guerlain doesn't do grapefruit well. Too bad the rest of the notes sound nice.

    Happy Thanksgiving!

V, I know many people love the Pamplune Aqua Allegoria, but it *really* doesn't work for me so I know what you mean. Happy Thanksgiving to you to :-)

Let's just call this one “Barbie” perfume!

Bet they still aren't finished with the cherry blossom fragrances. We should bet on the next name. LOL!

    Hugs!

R, it really is an unfortunate packaging design! Don't know what they were thinking.

They will *never* finish with the cherry blossoms. Can't imagine what will be next…they've done glittering, shiny, lovely, and even crazy.
