More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US.

From Acqua di Parma, a 100 ml bottle of Iris Nobile Eau de Parfum with a handmade 18 carat gold iris flower. Only a few copies were made; they will be sold in the Acqua di Parma boutique in Milan on September 8 (Fashion’s Night Out)…

I tried hard to think of a theme that would tie these together, but there isn’t one — just brief reviews of three perfumes I’ve been meaning to write about: Ormonde Jayne Tiare, Stella McCartney Stella Nude and Strange Invisible Perfumes Fire and Cream.

Ormonde Jayne Tiare

Tiare is the latest from British niche line Ormonde Jayne. The tiare flower, as many of you know, is the Tahitian gardenia (Gardenia taitensis), and tiare-based perfumes are usually done in a heady, lush tropical manner — Monyette Paris, Montale Intense Tiare, André Gas Ensoleille Moi, et al. — often with coconut lending a beachy, sunscreen sort of feel. Lawsuit over Stella Nude, part 2

Nude Brands Ltd., a cosmetics company founded by the wife of U2’s Bono, Ali Hewson, lost a London court bid to block fashion designer Stella McCartney from introducing a new perfume this weekend.

Stella McCartney Ltd., a unit of L’Oreal SA, plans to begin selling the fragrance named “STELLANUDE” in the U.K. on Aug. 22, according to the judgment. Hewson’s Nude Brands has a European Union trademark on “nude” in capital letters and asked the London court for an order delaying sales of the perfume pending a full trial on trademark issues.

The founders of Nude Skincare are suing Stella McCartney’s company for the use of the word “nude” in her new fragrance, Stella Nude, according to the Daily Mail.

Ali Hewson, who is married to U2’s Bono, and Bryan Meehan, who founded organic food chain Fresh and Wild, are suing Stella McCartney Parfums for compensation over branding and use of the word “nude”.
