Trussardi has launched Essenza del Tempo, a new fragrance inspired by Italy's “slow movement” (slow cities, slow food) and celebrating the true luxury: time.
Essenza del Tempo is a unisex EdT with a powdery, woody composition, created by IFF's Sophie Labbé, and comes in a bottle designed by Thierry de Baschmakoff, which is decorated with a leather strap to evoke the company's heritage.
The fragrance notes include bergamot, carrot seed, ginger, coffee, balsamic vinegar, amber, iris and cedar…

The Reg Vardy Gallery at the University of Sunderland, Tyne & Wear, England, will host If There Ever Was: an exhibition of extinct and impossible smells:

Jil Sander has launched a new duo of fragrances, Scent 79 Woman and Scent 79 Man. The scents are modern interpretations of the original Jil Sander fragrances, Jil Sander Pure Woman, launched in 1979, and Jil Sander Pure Man, which followed in 1981. Like their earlier counterparts, the new fragrances celebrate Sander's elegant minimalist style.

Paco Rabanne will follow up on 2005's Black XS For Him with a new fragrance for “trendy girls and rebel princesses”, Black XS For Her. The new scent is “feminine and sensuous, evolving from fruity to floral to woody notes”:
Emilie Coppermann and Marc Buxton (Symrise) built the fragrance around a heart of hellebore rose, with tamarind blossom, pink peppercorns and cranberry in the sharp, fresh top note…

Comme des Garçons released Comme des Garçons 2 Man in 2004. It was developed by perfumer Mark Buxton. If you find it at all helpful, the tag line is “a worker, a man who loves his work” (that's two strikes for me), and the notes are incense, white smoke, saffron flowers, nutmeg, kumquat, mint, vetiver, mahogany and leather.
Comme des Garçons 2 Man, like the other Mark Buxton fragrances discussed over the past week (Comme des Garçons Eau de Parfum, Comme des Garçons White, Comme des Garçons 2) explores themes of spices, woods and incense…
