2016 ~ finished
1/1 Happy New Year! Wear the perfume that will bring you luck, health and prosperity in 2016
1/22 Noir Friday: forget the fragrances with "Noir" in the name....wear a fragrance that feels / smells Noir to you.
2/5 1 Star Friday: wear your favorite perfume ranked only one star by Luca Turin, either in Perfumes: the Guide (if you don't own the book, you can find a compiled list at Basenotes) or in his Style Arabia columns. Partial credit for a two-star perfume! (suggested by Bastet)
2/12 5 Star Friday: wear your favorite perfume ranked five stars by Luca Turin, either in Perfumes: the Guide (if you don't own the book, you can find a compiled list at Basenotes) or in his Style Arabia columns. Partial credit for a four-star perfume!
2/26 Crack that whip! We're wearing leather today. (suggested by thegoddessrena)
3/11 Forgotten Friday: dig around in the back of the cabinet, find something, be it a bottle or decant or sample, that you'd forgotten you owned or forgotten to wear. (suggested by ajda)
3/18 I Hate...Oh Wait. Wear a perfume you love that features a note or style you always thought you hated. (suggested by pixel)
3/25 Picture challenge, edition 1. Wear a perfume that matches the picture. We're staring off with Max Ernst, The Nymph Echo, 1936. (you can find larger versions here and here, and you can read the story from Greek mythology about Echo on Wikipedia.) (someone suggested the picture challenge, raise your hand if it was you!)
4/1 April Fools Day! We're going for pure fun today: wear your most-fun-ever perfume. (suggested by thegoddessrena)
4/15 What's in a name, part 1. We're wearing rose today.
4/22 What's in a name, part 2. Today we're wearing "misnamed" fragrances. You can interpret that howsoever you wish. The project was suggested by Dilana, who noted that Jardins d’Écrivains Orlando smelled like traditional honey cake instead of a modernist multi-gender novel or hero/heroine.
4/29 Wear one of your "top 10 of spring" fragrances (unless it's fall where you are, in which case wear one of your "top 10 of fall" scents)
5/13 Chypre Friday. Wear a chypre, classic or modern or post-modern.
5/20 The Art of the Understatement. (suggested by Anniky, and you can interpret that howsoever you like)
6/3 Leap of Faith Friday: wear a scent you’ve never worn before with bonus points for a scent you haven’t read about and don’t know the notes for. Suggested by Eleebelle.
6/10 Fake it Friday: Wear a cheaper alternative (it can be anything: a different fragrance, an essential oil, layered products, a combination of perfume and body products) to a more expensive perfume. Suggested by Hajusuuri.
6/24 A House Divided: wear two fragrances from the same house, but don't layer (one on each wrist, or whatever). Suggested by Lisa D.
7/8 Wear a citrus cologne, classic or modern.
7/15 Wear one of your "top 10 of summer" fragrances (unless it's winter where you are, in which case wear one of your "top 10 of winter" scents)
7/22 Flashback Friday — wear a fragrance you wore "back in the day". I think this was suggested by Bee and MikasMinion?
7/29 Huesday on Friday: wear a fragrance inspired by one or both of these colors from Pantone's Spring/Summer 2016 collection — Limpet Shell ("A shade of aqua that leans toward the green family, Limpet Shell is clear, clean and defined. Suggestive of clarity and freshness, its crisp and modern influences evoke a deliberate, mindful tranquility.") and Peach Echo ("The fashion and design communities, and consequently, consumers, have been in love with orange for several seasons. Coming to the fore this Spring is, Peach Echo, a shade that emanates friendlier qualities, evoking warmth and accessibility. It is an all-encompassing, tempered companion in the playful orange family.") Huesday was suggested by TheGoddessRena and Olenska.
8/12 Fabulous but fleeting: wear a perfume you love even though it doesn't last as long as it should. Suggested by Mariann.
8/19 Perfect Friday: wear a fragrance that is nearly perfect, and tell us how you would change it (or, layer it!) to make it completely perfect.
9/2 How far does the apple fall from the tree: wear the pillar on one arm, one of its flankers on the other. Suggested by Happy888cat.
9/9 Tea Time Friday: wear a fragrance with a tea note.
9/16 Harvest Moon Friday: wear a fragrance with a nut or grain note.
9/30 Still ticking Friday: wear the perfume in your collection that has been on the market longest (so the perfume with the earliest launch year, that is still in production — not necessarily your oldest bottle).
10/7 At the movies: name a favorite movie, and wear a perfume that fits the movie or a character in the movie
10/14 Wear one of your Top 10 of Fall fragrances.
10/21 Trick Friday: wear a fragrance that smells entirely different from its name (or feel free to interpret "trick" in some other way). Suggested by Happy888cat.
10/28 Treat Friday: wear a fragrance that reminds you of candy. Suggested by Happy888cat.
11/4 Peace Out Friday: wear a fragrance that brings / gives peace. Suggested by Lovestosmellgood.
11/11 Iris Friday: wear an iris fragrance, if you have one.
11/18: No brainer: wear one of your seasonal "no brainer / go to" fragrances. Suggested by SheriG.
11/25: Black Friday cheap thrills, edition 3: as we head into the holiday spending season, wear something that costs $50 or below, double bonus points if it costs $25 or below. No points for wearing something expensive that you bought cheaply via a sample or decant or somesuch! We're trying to find real bargains here.
12/9: Best Buy Friday: wear your favorite fragrance purchase of 2016. If you didn't buy anything this year, pick a favorite from a prior year.
12/16: Wear a sandalwood fragrance, if you have one.
