LA Dodgers for Men ~ new fragrance

LA Dodgers for Men

The LA Dodgers have launched a new eponymous fragrance for men. Like the recent NY Yankees fragrances, the scent was made under licensing arrangements with the Cloudbreak Group; fragrances for the Boston Red Sox and Texas Rangers are expected to follow.

The L.A. Dodgers fragrance evokes a cool modernity and urban sensibility. It is a true expression of contemporary masculinity that epitomizes today’s man. This fragrance is an aquatic blend of watery cucumber, juicy California honeydew melon, and marine notes enhanced with spicy basil and sage, and warmed with Oakmoss and soothing musk.

LA Dodgers for Men is available now at Macy’s, in 100 ml Eau de Toilette, $55.

Hurrah! Aqua di Gio in a prettier bottle! Rather, a fully-translucent bottle.

Funny, when I think of “today’s man” (if I do), I would not think of cucumber and honeydew melon. Guess I’m out of touch with today’s man. I will settle for my SO who wears Green Irish Tweed, Sartorial, and L’homme Infini.

Ha…well, you’re definitely out of touch with what they smell like ;-)

Sounds like a fancy muddled cocktail instead of a fragrance!

As an Angeleno I can tell you that no fragrance can truly capture the LA scent if it does not have a little diesel/smoke/gasoline/asphalt essence to replicate the wonderfully piquant smell of our traffic and freeways. We spend a huge amount of time on the road, and the freeways and congestion define LA in powerful ways. There is nothing like a hot summer afternoon on the Golden State Freeway, creeping along at 10 miles an hour behind a huge diesel truck belching smoke into the sky…

Moreover, the LA Dodgers are known for having fickle fans who arrive fashionably late and leave wonderfully early (both to beat the traffic, of course). Arriving to a game before it starts or waiting until after it ends to leave are considered low class here in Dodgertown…
