French niche line Memo has launched Luxor Oud, a new fragrance:
Memo’s fragrance Luxor Oud is also known as “Oud of the Pharaohs” and has been created to pay homage to the glorious era of ancient Egypt and its monumental architecture.
“Time stands still at the gateway of Luxor, humanity’s oldest prayer site. On the banks of the Nile, the stifling heat makes me feel lethargic while crocodiles slide gently over the sand under the penetrating gaze of the Sphinx.
I walk towards the age-old shade of the Colossus of Ramses II. The temple stones seem to vibrate in splendor and the roses sigh in the torpid heat. Luxor Oud: an oasis of roses and fruit overflowing with freshness and sensuality in the country of greatness and majesty. The marriage of wood and rose under Pharaoh’s whip and scepter.”
Luxor Oud was developed by perfumer Aliénor Massenet; notes include tangerine, red fruits, rose, labdanum, nagarmotha, patchouli, storax, tonka bean and agarwood.
Memo Luxor Oud is available now at First in Fragrance in Germany, in 75 ml Eau de Parfum, €125.
