The 7 Virtues Middle East Peace ~ new fragrance

The 7 Virtues Middle East Peace

Canadian indie line The 7 Virtues has launched Middle East Peace, a new unisex fragrance. Middle East Peace is the brand’s fourth fragrance, and joins Afghanistan Orange Blossom, Noble Rose of Afghanistan and Vetiver of Haiti.

The enchantment of Middle East Peace eau de parfum is for all humankind. This ambrosial blend of sweetie grapefruit oil of Israel with the lime & basil oils of Iran captivates our hearts and ignites our senses.

With a dry down of cedar wood and bamboo, this fragrance is for men and women.

Sweetie grapefruit is a cross between a grapefruit and a pomelo and is harvested in the fertile Sharon Plain of Israel. The lime & basil oils of Iran are grown in Shiraz in the Fars province, known as the cultural capital of Iran.

The 7 Virtues Middle East Peace is available in 50 ml Eau de Parfum, $70. It can be purchased at The Bay in Canada, or from the brand’s website.

I love this brand! The fragrances are wonderful (the orange blossom is my favorite) and what a great cause!

I love grapefruit and lime notes, so this is a must try for me!

Hope to review the orange blossom next week — it’s a great scent!

I’d really like to try all of the fragrances in the line but can’t find anyone who has samples. The Vetiver in particular is calling my name — has anyone tried it yet? I wish they’d offer a sample set — I’d buy it in a heartbeat…

I got a response from them about samples. They are looking into it, but being a small company, samples are only possible for large companies. They are also looking into distribution in the UK within a year.

Sounds sublime – like Middle East peace would be! Did not know that pomelo and grapefruit were NOT the same thing!

Despite all the exotic fruits we can now buy at the supermarket, I never see pomelos…no idea why.

My brother grows pomelo and they are about 80% rind. His have actual edible fruit about the size of a lemon but the rind makes it about the size of a small soccer ball. I suppose different varieties might have a higher percentage of edible fruit but that might be why they don’t seem to be widely available commercially.

Yup, grapefruits are a hybrid of sweet oranges and pomelos : ) The Ruby Red variety is even patented!
