The Nina Ricci bottle makes me think of Dorothy’s shoes. Which I LOVE.

Then I am sorry it does not hold something more exciting than Nina! I’m surprised DKNY has not done bottles like this already.

Yes. Stick, say, some old stock of Farouche in that thing and I would be on it like a duck on a junebug.

Those Dior travel sprays are nice.

On topic but not on post, I checked out the twitter link to the Diptyque limited edition holiday candles. I am reading it right, they’re doing a holiday Oud? W??? Apparently every day is an Oud holiday!

Also, my web translator translated oliban as “napthalene” – I’m sure there’s someone out there who would like a napthalene candle, but it’s not me. But frankincense, maybe they’ll sell that one solo. I’d buy that.

Those are all candles though — so far as I know, they’re not doing a personal oud fragrance for holiday 2012.

But surely it’s influenced by the same oud wave.

Since oud is burned as incense I guess it’s an “appropriate” oud release and I won’t complain b/c at least they aren’t doing the usual spiced orange candle in the set.

Oh, yes, certainly! And in fact, not at all sure it’s their first oud candle & would be rather surprised if it was.
