DSquared2 Potion for Woman ~ new fragrance

DSquared2 Potion for women

DSquared2 will launch Potion for Woman in September. The new fragrance is the feminine counterpart to last year’s Potion for men, and like that scent is meant as ‘the scent of seduction’.

Potion for Woman was developed by perfumer Christine Nagel; the notes feature bergamot, violet, blackberry, rose, jasmine, lily of the valley, rhubarb, black and white musk, black amber, patchouli and vanilla.

DSquared2 Potion for Woman will be available in 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

      Ha, what else?

      I still haven’t tried the men’s — I am so behind.

I don’t think the men’s ever made it to the US (and it’s supposedly good). Will the woman’s be euro-only too?

I’m sorry but I don’t know…and not even sure if it’s that Potion didn’t make it here, or just hasn’t made it here yet. Even their early fragrances took a good long time to get here.

The men’s one is great. It is very easily available in Canada. I don’t think that it’s doing too well though. Last week, Winners (our TJ Maxx/ Marshalls) already had the 100ml EdP for $18! The EdT 50ml was $12!!

I dunno… I’ve been seduced by many a tasty pastry in my day! :-) (I’ll be skipping this version of it though)

If anyone can make blackberry and rhubarb crumble (LOVE THAT!) the scent of seduction, it’s Christine Nagel.

Potion for man is wonderful, I wonder if female version will be that good

      Couldn’t say!

I agree, the men’s version is delicious, I’m thinking of buying it for myself. Now I’ll wait to see if the female version is better, but somehow I’m not so sure

Yikes! I really, really dislike that image. The female model looks overpowered & overwhelmed as the male figure looms over her. This doesn’t make me want to buy the fragrance… it makes me want to take a self-defense class.

It looks like an image for a men’s fragrance more than a women’s.

You beat me to it! Really aggressive and uncomfortable image!

i was going to say the same thing. It looks more sinister than seduction to me. Do not want! I have the men’s version on order though, it was on my must-have list right from when it first came out. Took ages for the price to drop down (though not to $18… very jealous of that canadian bargain)

And I was reacquainting myself with the men’s potion only last week. I really like it and usually love Christine Nagel’s work so this is at least a must try.

That’s a very masculine arm on the male model.
