Closer by Halle Berry ~ new fragrance

Closer by Halle Berry fragrance

Halle Berry will launch Closer by Halle Berry in September. Closer will be Berry’s fifth fragrance release, and the woody floral reportedly combines fresh notes with a classic masculine fougère accord.

Closer was developed by perfumer Jacques Cavallier; the notes include raspberry, water lily, ozone, fougère accord, violet, mimosa, cedar, vanilla bean, mahogany and cashmere musk.

Closer by Halle Berry will be available in 15 and 30 ml Eau de Parfum.

Update: per Coty, Closer “is a rare blend of feminine and masculine notes, creating an intriguing scent that is as alluring for men as it is for women.” Closer is also sold in a 50 ml size.

Hmmm… Sounds pleasant and office-worthy. I’m not one much for celebuscents but I will say that more of her offerings are at least enjoyable and haven’t been the usual fire hose full of fruit, sugar, and more fruit that are the usual fare of celebrities. I see this going into the boss’s X-Mas stocking during Secret Santa week this year.

I really liked the first one! Reveal, admittedly not so much.

Yup, sounds like a man’s sport scent. Another one for Robin to add to the list of women’s scents blending with masculine, and although they don’t say “more than a woman” or some such, Halle *is* wearing a man’s work shirt (and a lovely pair of arms!).

LOL! I was thinking the same thing after her review yesterday noting all the times she’d read adverts proclaiming, “fusion of masculine & feminine.”

You’ve inspired me to add it as a tag, so now I can add to it and we can just how often it occurs!

Great! May it live on (or not!) as the fabulous “please no more oud” tag!

I adore this packaging! Classy bottle, great image of a “boyfriend” scent. If you wear this will you smell like you’ve been hugged by the Old Spice guy?

Maybe that is who is hugging her! ;-)
Love the image of smelling like you have been hugged by the Old Spice guy.

Yep, another one for the fusion of masculine and feminine list. Never smelled any of her offerings so can’t pass any sort of judgement. I will say that those arms are gorgeous and, unless they belong to a giant, Halle has a very tiny waist and I.am.jealous.!

REALLY LIKE THAT BOTTLE!!!!!!!!!!! And That Image as well… Halle, Fortunately, has been pretty darn lucky in her scent choices (I know she had NOTHING to do with what notes went in and anything more than signing off on a scent idea she liked) but she seems to have a pretty good nose for stuff that doesn’t smell Cheap or Fruitoverdose! They’re Not Classic Saint Laurent’s or Guerlain’s by any spirit, but much better than the dreck that celebs like Britney Spears/Justin Bieber/Christina Aguilera/Fergie et al. pump out with all to distracting a frequency! this sounds downright…. Shall we say… Upmarket! I will be very much wanting a sniff of this!

I absolutely love the sexy image of the muscular man wrapping his arms tight around Halle…lucky woman! I don’t know if I would like the scent or not especially that raspberry note; I don’t gravitate towards the berries in fragrances at all.

I’ve not smelled any of her scents yet, but she’s in the new movie of the novel Cloud Atlas which I saw the trailer to recently, and it looks amazing – really intelligent and diverse and new and crazy. She looks really good in it too, she plays a few different characters in the past and the future. SO I will definitely smell her fragrances based on the good vibes from that trailer alone.
