I tried this a couple of weeks ago and prefer it over Aoud. If you’ve experienced those Arabic amber oud oil blends, you’ll have an idea of what’s in store but Amber Aoud is smoother and better composed. However, that’s not enough to warrant the asking price and longevity is still lacking (but slightly better than Aoud).

Seems like they shouldn’t use the descriptor “rare” with oud, given how many oud scents there have been! It does sound like it would be pretty–nutmeg especially caught my attention. Chances are good that I won’t seek it out, at those prices, though!

I also preferred this to the standard Roja Dove Aoud, but i also tried the new Acqua de Parma Oud at the same time and it blew my mind – loved it!

It pays to go easy on some ouds – Amouage Homage Attar is the only perfume I have where just a dab or two with the tiny sample vial dabber is enough.

Yes , with it being Acqua di Parma i wanst expecting it to blow my head off! The bottle is quite nice but hate those tacky crystals he likes sticking to the lids

That bottle – Mr. Dove is not one to worry about going over the top, is he? ;-)

The jeweled cap kinda reminds me of Sarah Jessica Parker’s Covet, which is probably not what Mr. Dove was going for.
