I am very curious about this line (and risqué sounds appealing): has anyone tried it?
Do the RD fragrances resemble classic Guerlains?
(I don’t mean if they smell the same, but if they have the same unique combination of opulence and elegance…)
I am obviously very tempted by the chypre and the fracas 2.0…

Hi Zazie-Roja Dove fragrances really do ‘resemble’ classics like Guerlain – particularly as he worked for them for quite a while in London. JP Guerlain has even made up some old formulas like Djedi especially for Roja’s lectures on classic perfumes. His own line of perfumes, which is rapidly expanding, all have the hallmarks of old school perfumery which is no bad thing as goes against the fruity/floral tide. I have one of his older creations ‘Enslaved’ which is comparable to vintage ‘Habanita’ in my opinion. His work is very spendy but gorgeous!

They are very much in the classic style. I have only tried a couple though.

Roja Dove fragrances are one of those unabashed luxuries I allow myself. This is a very high-quality fragrance line. Yes, classic is a great term to describe these fragrances. I’d buy every one of them (if I could afford them all). Right now, I think Enslaved is my favorite, but it is hard to chose.

I think his fragrances are very much underappreciated. Maybe he likes it that way as they seem more exclusive. I think opulent and elegant is a very accurate way to portray them.

They are so good I will pay the shipping from UK. I’ll be buying these two. Can’t wait for July.
