Jane Booke Taken ~ new perfume

Jane Booke Taken

Los Angeles designer Jane Booke has introduced Taken, a new vanilla fragrance:

Vanilla, at its luxurious best. This sultry blend from Los Angeles designer Jane Booke is a new contender for the title of the ultimate vanilla. A frothy, fruity opening with a dash of peach and mango leads the way to the creamy decadence of rich, sweet vanilla. There are other elements here – light notes of jasmine and muget, the earthy, sensuous growl of patchouli and a tantalizing hint of dark chocolate – but they all serve to highlight the star of the show – a pure, velvety, so-yummy-you-want-to bathe-in-it vanilla. This is dreamy, sultry, comforting, delicious – everything you want a vanilla fragrance to be. Vanilla lovers start your engines – this may be the one you’ve been searching for.

Jane Booke Taken is available now at Indiescents, in 10 ml roll-on or 30 ml Eau de Parfum ($75 or $100).

robin, how do you guys find out about new perfume releases? do you do a google search everyday? or do perfume companies send out press releases?
    just curious :-)

It is a mixture — we get some press releases, and there are a lot of websites that I check on a regular basis. Google isn’t helpful unless you already know what’s coming.

Sounds lovely. Except it is ‘muguet’ surely, not ‘muget’? Or is ‘muget’ a note in perfumery that I had missed. So hard to keep up …

      Good eye, I missed that!

Nice catch. Now I can’t get “muget” sounds like “nougat” out of my mind and the Glen Baxter comic of the Lomax boys keeping up their all night vigil on the nougat. I grew up in a small town with a large Uni and my best friend’s dad (art prof – mine was an architecture) who introduced me to to Glen Baxter in 7th grade. :)
