The Fragrance Foundation of Germany has announced the winners of the 2011 Duftstars awards, the German version of the Fifi awards for best fragrances:
Women’s Prestige ~ Gucci Guilty
Men’s Prestige ~ Hermès Voyage d’Hermès
Women’s Exclusive ~ Narciso Rodriguez Musc Collection
Men’s Exclusive ~ Marc Jacobs Bang

Happy Memorial Day where applicable and I hope everyone had a lovely weekend.
The NR Musc Collection is actually really nice. It doesn’t smell as heavy on the patch for those who don’t like patch, and I get almost an iris note from it more than just the musk. I liked it enough to buy a second bottle.
The other three winners remain as yet untested here, but I am curious to try Guilty and Bang to see if they perhaps are a little less department store-ish.
I would say Bang is a little less department store-ish, but Guilty is not.
