I love the smell of maple…until it turns (often, at least) into a baby-pee like sweetness.

I thought I was the only one who thought maple syrup smelt like the urine of someone with a lot of sugar in it.

If I’ve eaten something with maple, my pee smells like maple…(TMI?)

I’d love it if the Demeter smells like those maple leaf cookies – those are among my favourite cookies ever!

      That doesn’t sound appealing.

Oh boy! Where’s Daisy?? She LOVES maple syrup in perfume. I can see a split coming on. :-D

HA! I was thinking the same thing.

These comments will give her another opportunity to bash Like This. :D

She is off decanting, no doubt.

I like the design of VS’s bottle. I so far have not had any luck with any of Demeter’s scents.

Saw the Demeter a couple days ago, how I wished they sold the fragrance in the maple leaf bottle!

Buy a 50-mL bottle of maple syrup in that maple-leaf bottle (you may have to come to Canada to do so, although they probably sell it in Vermont), use it up on pancakes or whatnot, clean it thoroughly, tip in a bottle of the Demeter. It would look so cool on your dresser.

Despite my solemn vow to not buy any scents in 2011, I want to try this (and their Amber) very very very much. I suppose it will have to wait until January 1st, 2012.

Uh oh. No new scents in 2011? You are an ambitious man. Good luck.

    • Posted on 31 January 2011

      Yes, that would be adorable!

‘Very sexy now’ – Can we expect a ‘Very Sexy Now and Then’ any time soon?

    • Posted on 31 January 2011

They mostly just do Very Sexy Now, over and over again.

I wonder if Melted Butter will be the flanker to Maple Syrup?

Very Sexy Now…let’s see…the flanker will be Very Sexy Right Now…or maybe Very Sexy All The Time…or perhaps to reflect the fluctuations in long term relationships…”Very Sexy Occasionally.”

How about “Very Sexy Not Tonight, Dear, I Have a Headache”?

The very sexy now from 2009 was great, I thought… it was a similar bottle, but it was a really decent tropical scent for the price. One of the few more synthetic scents I actually wear. This one smells like a watered down version of that- if you can get your hands on last year’s, they may still pull them out for the sales, it would be worth it imho.

OOps, I meant I liked the Very sexy 2010. I’m a year behind! haha
