Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Jasminora ~ new fragrance

Guerlain Jasminora perfume

Guerlain will launch Jasminora, the newest addition to the Aqua Allegoria range, this Spring. The Aqua Allegoria line focuses on lighter perfumes for summer wear and is meant to “showcase nature”; the packaging was given an update in 2010.

Jasminora features notes of galbanum, bergamot, cyclamen, jasmine, lily of the valley, musk and amber.

I will update with sizes and concentration when I can find them, but the Guerlain Aqua Allegoria scents are usually in 75 and 125 ml Eau de Toilette. (via parfum-femme.prime-beaute.com)

Update: Guerlain Jasminora is available in 75 and 125 ml Eau de Toilette.

Another update: see a review of Jasminora.

(Pricks up ears) Galbanum? Galbanum, you say?

Hm. I’ve not been drawn by any of the AAs so far, but if I run across this one, I’ll probably want to sniff it.

It sounds wonderful to me…we’ll see!

Ha, the galbanum caught my attention, too. I liked Tiare Mimosa enough to buy, but none of the others I’ve tried have really grabbed me.

This sounds really nice. I tried (and am madly in love with) Mandarine-Basillic and am still on the fence about Pamplelune so am curious to try more of the line.

    • Posted on 31 January 2011

I like Mandarin Basilic too. Pamplelune does not work on me though!

Yes, as much as Pamplelune is the “perfect” grapefuit…in that it is nearly identical to the real deal, I am not so sure about sulphur-edge that turns “funky” on my skin.

Hello Galbanum! Maybe I, like mals, could find an AA that works for me. Wait, that sounds like I have alcohol issues! I suppose I do- of the perfume variety at least!! ;-)

    • Posted on 31 January 2011

      Good luck with that ;-)

Mandarine-Basilic is the only AA I own in a big full bottle. I love it! It’s so refreshing and energizing.
    I like Herba Fresca too.
This Jasminora deserves a try, even though galbanum usually doesn’t work for me.

Looks nice, although I usually prefer rather “powerful” jasmines, I will definately give it a try.

Lemming! Must sniff! Must have! Can’t wait! I love jasmine lately, and the AA scents have worked well for me. BTW, I just found Tiare and Mimosa (very nice) at Marshall’s for $24, and saw Guerlain’s Vetiver at TJ Maxx. I love bargains too! But Jasminora will likely be a retainl FB instant thing for me, I’m thinking. Any idea when this might turn up?

I was very surprised by the quality of Aqua Allegorias. I especially like Tiare Mimosa. Always get compliments on that one and it smells expensive, though it is not.

Think I’m settling on Herba Fresca as my favourite, though I actually did like ‘flora nymphea’ (or whatever it was called). I’m also quite impressed by how long HF lasts on the skin. I tried it at the mall 7 hours ago and can still detect it on my wrist!

I can’t keep up with this line, they seem to appear and disappear rather rapidly. I know there was at least one I tested and liked (it was a floral, perhaps a lily?) but I can’t remember which one and have no idea if it’s still around! (Definitely wasn’t Pamplelune; that one was bad news on my skin!)

Sounds like it’s worth sniffing! I have a mini of Winter Delice, which I really like (so naturally it’s discontinued).

It contains two of my likable notes-cyclamen an lily of the valley…although these Aquas are usually too sheer for me. But I’ll certainly stick my nose in it just to try it.
