Reminiscence Jammin’ Vibration ~ new perfume

Reminiscence Jammin Vibration

French jewelry line Reminiscence will launch Jammin’ Vibration in February. The new fragrance for women is a flanker to 2006′s Jammin, billed as “the first musical fragrance” and a “tribute to Jamaica”.

Jammin’ Vibration is a fresh woody floral developed by perfumers Maurice Roucel and Lucas Sieuzac. The notes feature bergamot, grapefruit, pink pepper, cassis bud, cardamom, jasmine, rose, muguet, Virginia cedar, patchouli, vanilla, tonka bean and musk.

Reminiscence Jammin’ Vibration will be available in 50 and 100 ml Eau de Toilette. (via cosmetiquemag.fr, actu-beaute)

shouldn’t there be a marijuana note in there?

Exactly. How about rastajuana just to make it sound like those over the top ad copies? :)

That was my first thought! How can this be a tribute to Jamaica without the ganja, mon? Here are the notes I would include: warm sand and salty marine accord, coconut suntan oil, fresh-cut mango, pineapple banana and coconut, hibiscus, freshly chopped marajuana, unwashed bodies and hair, smoky Jamaican jerk accord, cedar, burning incense, patchouli and a verrrry animalic musk base. I don’t know what order to put them in or if it would actually smell good all mashed together, but that’s my memory of Jamaica!

Oh, forgot three more thing: diesel, tar and straw – for the inner-city vibe.

Maurice Roucel gives me some hope here….but do you think they worked to make the bottle and packaging look just as cheap as possible? That is truly horrible looking.

    Oh dear.

That is some of the worst package design I’ve seen in a very long time — for ANY product.

      Very 80s, to my eye.

I don’t like it either, and they do have some really great bottles sometimes.

Heck, I think the bottle looks cute. Cheap… but cute.
