Kenzo Eau de Fleur de Yuzu ~ new fragrance

Kenzo Eau de Fleur de Yuzu

Kenzo will launch the fifth fragrance in the Eaux de Fleurs collection next month. Eau de Fleur de Yuzu, like the others in the series (see Eau de Fleur de Thé, Eau de Fleur de Soie, Eau de Fleur de Magnolia & Eau de Fleur de Prunier), is based on a flowering Japanese tree, in this case, the yuzu, a citrus fruit often compared to grapefruit.

Eau de Fleur de Yuzu is described as a sun-drenched citrus fragrance, and is meant to be light and summery.

Kenzo Eau de Fleur de Yuzu will be available in 50 ml Eau de Toilette. (via osmoz, leparisien.fr)

Update: Eau de Fleur de Yuzu was developed by perfumer Jean Jacques.

Well, I own and love the Magnolia in this range, and this also sounds very nice. I have the I Coloniali Yuzu Body Care Water and I like Yuzu Rouge by 01630. Would be interested in further note information on this, also for a friend who is a bit of a yuzu fanatic.

They really didn’t release any note information for Prunier, and hardly any for the first 3…so not counting on it, but of course I’ll post it if I find it.

I rather liked the Eau de fleur de soie–nice tea note, sheer floral with a hint of fruitiness. I’d like to try this one.

Has your yuzu-loving friend tried Apothia Pearl? Nice yuzu opening with that.

I’m almost anosmic to the first three scents in the collection, but all of them are so ME that I’ll keep trying until the day I can smell them :)

Yuzu could be a perfect summer scent. I loved Yuzu Ab Irato by Parfumerie Generale.

They’re pretty darned light, and they don’t last long…

I hope against common sense that this will be less feminine (and stronger) than the previous 4.

I have not seen or smelled the prune one yet in this neck of the woods….

But now I am on the hunt for the yuzu flower!!! :-)

I have seen the prune one, but there was no tester available.

Who do? YUZO! Sorry, couldn’t resist. I’d like to try this one!

I did love the other Eaux des fleur (although my budget prevented FB pruchases), so I’ll look forward to trying this one!

I haven’t even tried any of the originals yet. I’m wondering if this will be more about the fruit than the blossom, though the name implies the blossom.

It sounds like the blossom, doesn’t it? I wonder if the flower smells similar to other citrus tree blossoms.
