Bunch o’ limited edition collector bottles 2010, part 3

More limited edition collector fragrance bottles, with the usual disclaimers: in most of these cases, the juice is unchanged, just the bottle is “special” (or not, as the case may be), and some of these may not be available in the US.

Annick Goutal Ninfeo Mio limited edition butterfly bottleLove, Ralph Lauren

From Annick Goutal, Ninféo Mio (above left) in a limited edition butterfly bottle “which bears images of the Garden of Ninfa, the breathtaking locale from which the fragrance takes its name”. £150 for 100 ml Eau de Toilette at Harrods in the UK.

From Ralph Lauren, the Love, Ralph Lauren fragrance in the Heart of Gold limited edition (above right). The notes are identical to the original, but the juice has reportedly been tweaked (it’s now called “The Love Essence”). 50 ml Eau de Parfum, $100 at Neiman Marcus.

Boss Orange Celebration of Happiness by Hugo BossStella solid perfume necklace

From Hugo Boss, Boss Orange in the Parfum du Bonheur / Celebration of Happiness limited edition bottle, decorated with white flowers. In 30 or 50 ml Eau de Toilette, and available now at Escentual in the UK. (additional information via vogue.fr)

From Stella McCartney, a Stella necklace: “A fashionable take on fragrance, this solid version of Stella Eau de Parfum is tucked away in a round locket, beautifully stamped with the Stella McCartney logo. A sensual embodiment of Stella’s femininity and mystery, the necklace allows for a discreet dab of perfume at any moment.” $49 at Sephora. (found via style)

Ooh. Love that Stella McCartney solid. Wish it had something else inside–Fracas, maybe.

I’d love my Fracas solid to be on a chain, although I’d never wear it so don’t know why. But I like Stella too.

The butterfly bottle for Ninfeo Mio is really pretty (not that I buy for the bottle…). But who on earth would want a silver locket that says “Stella McCartney,” unless it were your actual name?

Indeed! If a commercial enterprise wants me to advertise their product around my neck, they can pay me!

      I want that Ninfeo Mio.

I’m not big on butterflies, but so do I.

        Agree with you and Joe.

Contact Bergdorf Goodman for the butterfly bottle of Ninfeo – they are on the way! ( In spite of Goutal`s US Distributor`s bankruptcy AND the Blizzard to Beat All! :-) )

LOVE the butterfly bottle! I already like the notes for Ninféo Mio, and now that gorgeous bottle? A lemming is born. And I don’t even display my bottles unless they’re opaque! How idiotic is that?

Sometimes the bottles just get you and there’s little you can do about it! I have a thing for Amouage bottles —can’t resist!—and yet they are all in their boxes…..the only time I see them is when I refill my purse sizes. (You can bet that if they come out with a BLUE one I’ll be right there drooling on the monitor, seeing how fast I can order it. )
So we can be silly together. :-)

Oh, well…obviously I’ve only seen one, but if it’s any indication, the Amouage *boxes* are quite lovely as well. The AG butterfly bottles have never done a thing for me, nor any but the men’s Mandragore bottle. This one is the next closest, but I don’t need it.

Ooooh . . . Amouage! Those bottles are beautiful, too, and I’m lemming Epic, Dia and Lyric based on the reviews! I just ordered some Amouage samples from Luckyscent to decide which one I need most desperately. So we can definitely be silly (and fabulous smelling) together! :)

DANGER! DANGER! Amouage will suck you in! Kiss your bank account goodbye! er….I mean….yes, several Amouage fragrances are quite lovely…..

I don’t display them either, and I want it too.

Obviously, you need to host a split, decant your own portion, and keep the empty bottle for display.

As I said above, I am LOVING that Ninfeo Mio bottle (even with the gold butterfly on top).

I also like the look of that Boss Orange, just because I love anything transparent in yellow or orange.

And sorry, but RL “The Love Essence” sounds like something from an Austin Powers movie.

Joe, I share your reaction to “Love Essence”– indeed, Austin Powers is the most innocent connection I can make to the phrase. Who green-lighted THAT name?

      • Posted on 11 February 2010

I am fairly sure that “Love Essence” is what Brian Fantana from Anchorman wears on the days that he’s not wearing “Sex Panther by Odeon”.

      Yes!! It’s really quite silly.
