I was loving Black Amethyst, but I am getting tired of it. I bought a bunch of it for myself. Last year I bought it for my boss for her birthday, and she LOVES it. So much so that she has taken to dousing herself and her office in it, to the point where I can smell it down the hall. I still like it, I have the wallflower in it in my bedroom, but I'm starting to tire of constantly being bombarded by the fragrance.

I think Velvet Tuberose is one of their more underrated fragrances. I think the VT bubble bath is nice. I like that it looks like liquid gold, and it has a nice not too overpowering fragrance.

I like Brown Sugar & Fig as well, but only as a substitute for my much beloved and discontinued Simplicity line Fig they used to carry.

I can actually credit Bath & Body Works with connecting me to this site: After discontinuing my favorite Fig (Brown Sugar & Fig wasn't even close to the other one!), I started looking around for other fig perfumes/fragrances and came across Robin's posts from a few years ago on Philosykos and other fig fragrances. I was hooked! I went from 2 bottles to 15 and over 100 samples in the past year.

I like Twilight Woods as well. It's great if you want an uncomplicated cozy scent.

Oh, I love Vanilla Noir and went through a Sensual Amber phase for quite a while as well. I never got Black Amethyst, though, despite it being one of their more popular offerings. It just felt too busy and like it didn't know what sort of perfume it wanted to be. But I have the same problem of frags I like from BBW being discontinued like Brown Sugar & Fig, Tropical Passionfruit and their wonderful Pink Grapefruit.

I also thought the Twilight Woods was pretty nice. It's more complex and has less of a plastic quality than I had expected.

I once temped for a company that did fragrance work for BBW. On one of their slide-shows they had the slogan "Never underestimate the sophistication of the consumer!" I'm impressed that they seem to be taking that to heart, kicking up the complexity little by little.

I've tried to match some of the shower creams and shea butter things to fragrances I like so they are okay layered. The Velvet Tuberose isn't bad and I sometimes use that in the shower when I'm planning on wearing a tuberose fragrance like Fracas, Carnal Flower or Daphne. Somebody on Fragrantica pointed out the similarity of Sensual Amber to Back to Black and I can sort of get that. For some reason I just can't get behind their vanillas. I love vanilla fragrances and should like Vanilla Noir as it is a vanilla/carnation, two of my favourite notes, but I just don't. Same with Warm Vanilla Sugar. I don't even like to use the shower creams in those scents.
