The loveliest and most inspired bottles and packaging of all the niche houses! I tried 1828 Jules Verne, and it evokes exactly the adventure spirit of a scentific man – sexy by its generous spirit and genius. It is the most masculine fragrance I tried until now.

I love Collette also! I’ve tried a few Histoires de Parfums and Collette doesn’t get as much attention on the boards but it’s my favorite. I also like 1740 Marquis de Sade.

I did look at the sample set, and the Colette was the only one that looked exciting. Well, maybe if I have some time where there’s nothing else I want to try…

HdP sampling really hasn’t grabbed me, though I’m definitely getting a bit of that Tuberose L’Animal to try. This one definitely sounds odd enough to pique curiosity — due to the notes, not the MR concept. Quite a hodgepodge of notes… many of which I like, but not sure how they’ll combine.

I’ll definitely try this…could be strange and wonderful with all those strong notes…or a hot mess. I also want to try the three HdP tuberoses…

I do think they’re worth trying, and they sell a sample set which isn’t too expensive. The only one I love is the Colette, but also think the Noir Patchouli is really nice.
