(Oh but aside from my Lola rantings, I love these lists, and will be looking for all of the scents mentioned! Though I was pretty amazed not to see Fille en Aiguilles mentioned as a favorite anywhere in the main post. I was thoroughly taken by that one on a trip to San Francisco and thought for sure it would be in here.)

So I guess I really am the only person in the world who loathes that Marc Jacobs Lola bottle, eh? I keep thinking they couldn’t have made it uglier if they’d tried! But that’s just me; I’ve never been that fond of either “girly” or “retro”.

Side complaint: have you seen the size of the Lola boxes to accommodate all that frippery on top?? They’re HUGE! Good luck storing that puppy in a drawer, especially if (like me) your drawer space is already all taken up by perfume!

First of all, A HAPPY NEW YEAR! to you all and many thanks for the inspiring blogging of you.

This year I did not buy much. One scent won me entirely: Kelly Caleche EdT. I can wear it always and I got not bored of it.
From the new releases there has been only one that impressed me: Amaranthine.
Vanille Galante IS a really impressing one, too, beacuse it was not at all what I expected, but I did not fall in love with it (fortunately while looking at the price tag).

2009 was a rather poor perfume year for me, but I met wonderful people as flittersniffer through it and this counts to me more.

Excellent suggestion, OF. In fact, I’ve never needed to venture into the black vortex which is the Montale website, since I live in Vancouver and just have to wander down to The Perfume Shoppe, have a chat with dear Nasrin, and poke around her amazing selection of Montales. (I think she’s got every one of them, in fact.)

For out-of-towners, TPS’s website is great and Naz has a sample program and a busy and efficient mail-order service, so you can zero in on what you might like to try and take it from there!
