Lanvin Jeanne La Rose ~ new perfume

Lanvin Jeanne La RoseLanvin will follow 2008′s Jeanne Lanvin fragrance with Jeanne La Rose, a new limited edition flanker for women.

Jeanne La Rose is described as a “more romantic” and “more couture” version of the original Jeanne Lanvin.

The new fragrance was developed by perfumer Olivier Pescheux; the notes include rose, raspberry, redcurrant, white musk, vetiver and cedar.

Lanvin Jeanne La Rose will launch in March, and will be available in 50 ml Eau de Parfum. (via independent.co.uk, nl.elle.be, cosmopolitan.fr)

Hmmm..sounds a bit bored. Nothing special about that. I could be more interesting, than the last one they did. But I like the bottle.

I did not smell the first — I do wish one of the major department stores other than Saks would carry the full Lanvin line.

I just found it a bit to boring and all fruity floral. So does this one. I was so dissapointed of the first Jeanne. Just boring. Something we have smelled around a 100 times before.

That’s about what I heard. Pretty bottle though! Or pretty ribbon, I guess — the bottle is kind of plain.

This reminds me of a Les Parfums de Rosine. I’d like to give it a go. I like a well done and interesting rose, and also don’t mind a good fruity rose if I can find one.

hmmm we haven’t had a pink perfume in …..weeks?months? But it’s rose so that’s ok. Of course I love rose….but that dreaded raspberry is likely a deal breaker.

Yeah, based on those notes I can smell it just from reading about it. And I’m not liking what I’m smelling. Oh, geez, I think that olfactory hallucination is going to follow me around all day. Quick, someone name something good to get this out of my head!!

There is rasbery & rose combination in a new rose- perfume by Andy Tauer I thought. I know that cause he made us do a lot of housework trying to win in his blog Xstmas action. It’s still going on so I encourage some of you to still give it a try! Anyhow I would be more excited to try that instead of the Lanvin one.

Ylak! Raspberry and rose? No thanks. This sounds like nothing more than yet another fruity floral.

raspberry is usually a deal-breaker for me but I certainly would want to see what AT does with it. He’s generally pretty amazing.

Is white musk a shoot-off of musk. I am confused .

    • Robin
      Posted on 22 December 2009

It’s a variety of synthetic musk.

I tried the first one and I found it to be very generic nothing special. It was not bad but it was nothing that made me feel I wanted it.This one sounds kind of boring too.I will try it when its available at my department store. But, I won’t go out of my way to buy a sample.

It will probably only be at Saks here, so I’ll probably never try it at all.

I wonder how it compares to Rumeur 2 Rose, the milk-laced citrus rose.

What a shame Lanvin won’t do better. I love their shoes.

I did not care for Rumeur, but that was the last Lanvin I managed to try.

Is fruity rose the new black? :p

Well. I tried this today, seduced by the rose and the pompoms which are very cute. I liked it in fact. Will get myself a sample next time I am in Sephora. The nice lady in the perfumerie gave me a sample of the orignial Jeanne Lanvin; looks like a bonbon. Will try it another day. So hot here today. Did anyone else give this one a try yet?
