  1. Absolute Scentualist says:

Another aquatic that just doesn’t grab me. I went through my Coolwater phase in my late teens, and ever since then I can’t bring myself to wear them again. Not that I’ve found one I want to wear. Ah well. Money saved.

    • Robin says:

It doesn’t appeal, but I’ll try it. Who knows.

    • Zeezee says:

Scrolling past the image, I actually *thought* it was about a Cool Water flanker. Bottle shape + colour = mix-up.

    • lsnuing says:

OMG Coolwater Woman is one of my all-time faves! If this smells similar to it, I might not be able to resist getting a FB!

  2. scentsappeal says:

Marine? *Sighs* I’ll be sailing well past this at the counter.

  3. Andrea D says:

I might have to try this. I quite liked the original Glow (or was it Miami Glow? I can’t recall) although the dry down didn’t love me, at least the top and middle notes were nice and summery. It might be a good pick-me-up in February.

    • Robin says:

I liked Glow AND Miami Glow. This one, hard to say. I don’t usually like marine and I don’t usually like fruity floral.

      • scentsappeal says:

I liked Miami Glow as well, great summer beachy fragrance. Although, my teenage daughter scoffed it off my dresser and I never seen it again LOL. My mom was and still is a huge fan of the original Glow.

      • Andrea D says:

Wasn’t Miami Glow a fruity floral? I actually liked the beachy-ness of it, and I don’t usually adore beachy note… oh, who am I kidding? I’m a total slut for coconut (that sentence is copyrighted by me, do not try to steal it).

        • Robin says:

Yes, but I did say “usually”…there are actually quite a few I like, but there are so very many of them :-)

          • Andrea D says:

Pah. Your adverbs cannot compensate for my limited reading comprehension.

  4. scentsappeal says:

Oddly her last one Live Platinum never made it over here to the Toronto perfume counters, or not that I ever seen.

    • Robin says:

I think that one wasn’t so widely distributed as the others. I never saw it either. Maybe it was only in mass market? Can’t remember.

    • lsnuing says:

This one did show up in Adelaide and I liked it, almost bought and my friend had to put her hands on me and drag me out of the store as I was ‘on a budget’ at the time – now I’m wondering if I should have just got it and to hell with the budget!

      • Robin says:

Oh, can’t you still get it?

        • lsnuing says:

Not in Adelaide, no – it turned out to be a proper ‘limited edition’ though I am hoping it’s still selling in Malaysia when I get there next week!

          • Robin says:

            Good luck!

  5. sacre bleu says:

sorry: a “marine” fruity-floral will likely make me seasick.

    • RusticDove says:

Ha! I had the same exact thought! ;-)

  6. Rictor07 says:

Enough glowing. i dont care if j lo keeps releasing fragrances, just come up with a new name already!

    • Robin says:

Oh, but she already has one that works…and it’s Glow. ;-)

  7. jonr951 says:

Im not diggin the name at all. I dont care for aquatic fragrances at all. I do like the bottle though. Well c. The only glows I havent really cared for r the luv @ 1st glow & My Glow. JLO enough w/ the Glows!! Do a Deseo flanker or somethin!

    • Robin says:

I still have not smelled My Glow! Ack.

  8. lovethescents says:

Shimmering water accord??? Heeeeheeee. I’ll probably try it….no, I’ll definitely try it when I see it but I won’t be seeking it out. Thanks for the head’s up!

    • Robin says:

The least a water accord could do is shimmer, I suppose ;-)

  9. Lovetosmell says:

This my first post here .You know what this is the first JLO fragrance I have no interest in trying.I have My Glow and its nice but doesn’t last long. But, this one is not for me I don’t like marine fragrances. Its okay as a house scent but not as a perfume for me personally.I am getting a bit tired of all the flankers with Glow. But visually the bottle is attractive but this screams Cool Water to me so I will pass on this.

    • Robin says:

      Hi and welcome!

Yes, they’re keeping quite busy with the Glow name, and would guess they’ll keep right on so long as they sell.

  10. APassionateJourney says:

    Can’t waaaaaaait!

    • Robin says:

      I knew you’d be excited!

  11. laken says:

I love the term “shimmering water accord”. I will try this one if it makes it over here. Sounds nice to me.

  12. sarah24 says:

love the bottle!!!! do you know when this will be out?

  13. parfumliefhebber says:

Eww, marine…… But I am hard, I will try it, when I find it.

  14. prism says:

    oh god

now they’ll be doing colored Glows.

    • Robin says:

Pink Glow, Yellow Glow…that would work!

    • Nlb says:

If they release a “Glow” colored-disco-wheel edition, like the ones used to light psychedelic 60’s Christmas trees, I might be forced to buy one…

  15. Nlb says:

    “…vanilla orchid…mahogany wood…”

I’ve noticed those two accords listed in many new, mid-level releases; in the price range of “Caswell-Massey”, “Bath & Bodyworks”, “The Body Shop”, “Yves Rocher” and many new celebrity fragrances. And “cedar” has really become popular, with many modern ones smelling like they were born from a particularily heated union between “Iso E Super” and “Pom-apple”.

I wonder if the “Mahogany Wood” accord listed in “Blue Glow”, is that same powdery-dry, vetiver-like blend you can smell running through so many new releases (including the new bunch from D&G and new ones from Michael Kors and Marc Jacobs)? And can we allow the possiblity for a little romance between “Blue Glow” and “Alien” to happen, by stocking them together? I think “Alien” has felt like an outcast amongst the “Pink/Miss” this and “Sheer/Nude” that, for much too long ;)…

    • Robin says:

I notice mahogany (or whatever aromachemical Givaudan uses to approximate it) note listed when they’ve given something a bit of darkness in the base while still keeping something absolutely clean.

Vanilla orchid, of course, is just silly: all real vanilla comes from the “vanilla orchid”. But it isn’t as silly as the recent penchant for adding “petals” to all sorts of floral notes, as in “rose petals” or “jasmine petals”. Duh.

  16. yzahbelle says:

“mangosteen, Valencia orange, , vanilla orchid, shimmering water accord and tonka bean” i want to sniff this flanker of glow!~
    but i have to agree with jonr951 ~ do a deseo flanker!@

    • Robin says:

I have a feeling Deseo did not come close to Glow or Live in sales.

  17. jonr951 says:

Deseo is my favorite from her. I have 2 bottles. But I can see if it didnt sell as well as Glow and Live. It wasnt very youth oriented and sorry J.Lo but thats ure audience. I think thats why With Love and Inspire didnt do very well. All theyre audiences want are fruity fruity cake and more fruity. Its to bad cuz Id luv for celebs to branch out and make more sophisticated scents. Poor SJP too. : (

    • Robin says:

Yep! Deseo was really good, but don’t think that audience is buying celebrity fragrances.

  18. Nile Goddess says:

Can someone please recommend me a marine, woody, spicy, oriental fruity-floral?

    • Robin says:

      Not I.

    • Bee says:

hihi, sounds like the famous egg-laying-woolly-milk-producing- pork Germans talk about….if that really is your ultimate dream you could send in the brief to basenotes, they’re starting an interesting project over there :-)

      • Andrea D says:

OMG, I have spent every spare moment thinking about that. I so want to participate, but I don’t want to spend HOURS devoted to something that will get nowhere, either.

  19. jonr951 says:

I tried Blue Glow today and I really liked it. It kinda smells like D&G L’Imperatrice which I love. The mangosteen and the orange in the top notes!! Such a yummy tartness!! I could smell the mossy note in it bottle and I really really like it!! I prefer it over her Love @ 1st, After Dark, Luxe, and My Glow. I need to get me a bottle soon. : )

    • Robin says:

Thanks — of course you beat me to it!

  20. jonr951 says:

I swapped my bottle of Heat for a bottle of Blue Glow. Heat just wasnt for me at all. Im loving my new Blue Glow. I was so excited when my blog buddy wanted to swap. I couldnt be happier. : )

  21. APassionateJourney says:

Ugh, this might be Jennifer’s worst scent!!!!! I can’t even describe it. Beautiful bottle and beautiful box, horrible scent :(

    • Robin says:

So sorry you hate it! Of course I haven’t smelled it yet.

  22. AMar says:

Hmm I kinda like the perfume. But don’t like the bottle, should be frosted gradient blue, the box could b nicer too! I kinda like sunkissed glow packaging looks elegant n expensive.
I got this for my bday today n I love it! The dry down is bit too home fragrance but the top n mid notes is great!

Another idea myb should call it Midnight Glow hahaha..

And yes, enuf with the glow! Do something new or do deseo flanker! Love deseo n last long too!

    • Robin says:

So glad you like your new scent!

Doubt they’ll do a Deseo flanker — don’t think it sold well. But you never know…

  23. jonr951 says:

I guess she has a new one coming out in the fall called Love & Glamour. She said its a “beautiful fresh scent, clean but juicy”. So its another fruity floral. LOL! I like JLOs scents. The only 2 i didnt really care for where Love @ 1st Glow and My Glow. I wonder what the bottles gonna look like? Its to bad there weren’t any Deseo flankers. I have Deseo Forever. Its just a lighter fruitier Deseo. I prefer the original. : )

    • Robin says:

Thanks, hadn’t heard of that yet!

  24. sarah24 says:

I love this…going to wait until it’s a bit cheaper though!!!
