Body Shop makes Satsuma stuff – it is one of my favorites of theirs. Oranges and tangerines in general are Christmassy to me.

You’re right, but I didn’t mean it that way. I meant that I would like to have them, but they are too expensive for me, but dreams are there to be dreamed.

For me, the quintessential holiday scent isn’t pine, or bayberry, or gingerbread…it’s the scent of Satsuma tangerines, which my mother always bought and set out in bowls for family to consume.

The perfume that always invokes this scent memory for me is Diptique’s “Oyedo”. Even though I wear it as a summer scent (because of the citrus) it captures that Satsuma note so well!

Any other Satsuma tangerine fans out there, and scent recommendations??

Thanks, Joe. I think I will put together a little sampler of my own because there are several I would like to try. I’m also trying to make myself understand that often an 8-15ml decant of something is all I really need.
