Late to the party, but I loved reading your descriptions of perfumes as personality types. I’d say I’m about 90% Shalimar, 6% Angel, and 4% Joy. No traces of No. 5 or 4711, unfortunately – my life would be much simpler if I had some of those put-together, clean-living, no-nonsense tendencies!

Joy definitely has rose in it, but it’s more than that, too. It’s worth trying, I think, just to have the olfactory listing in your brain. But I hope it doesn’t turn nasty on you!

Oh I’m definitely Bandit! And Cabochard. Often, though, I’m Cabaret, because one cannot evade real life. But when I’m me and don’t need to fit into society… I’m definitely Cabochard and Bandit.

I must try and get my hands on a sample of Joy, though I am a little wary as I’ve just checked out the review of it and it seems to be based around rose and rose doesn’t very strange and hideous things to my skin….case in point, Chloe is like a dish of very strong smelling pot pourri on me, which is a great pity as I soooo loved the cute like bottle with the ribbon, it would have looked so dainty on my dressing table.

Eau Premiere is really nice and probably bridges Joy and No. 5 in some ways.

I’m a Joy with a hint of Angel and a dash of No. 5. I’m a brunette who smiles alot, I own pearls though they’re rarely worn and I adore chocolate, silk and cashmere. The legs might not always be perfectly shaven but for an occasion such as this, I’d make the effort and maybe even pull out the pink stillettos though I’d much more likely go for a pair of black patent louboutins as I’m more of a shoe girl than a bag girl. I’d knock back a glass of champagne with the impossibly coiffed No. 5s and maybe a cosmo or 2 with the Angels but I’d more than likely start and end the night sipping a glass of sauvignon blanc with the Joys and checking out their photos. Strangely, I’ve never tried Joy, No. 5 Eau Premiere suits me much better than the original and Angel is absolutely dreadful on my skin.

Yes, the Bandit crowd suits me, too. Though I think I’d also fit in with the Chanel girls, or could play it off with those b*tches the best… a bit of the good-girl-gone-to-the-bad.
