Gwen Stefani Harajuku Lovers Sunshine Cuties ~ new fragrances

Gwen Stefani Harajuku Lovers Sunshine Cuties

Gwen Stefani will launch Harajuku Lovers Sunshine Cuties, a set of limited edition summer flankers for the Harajuku Lovers fragrances. Unlike the recent Snow Bunnies collection, this set features new summer-inspired fragrances in addition to the new “outfits”.

Sunshine Cuties Love is a fruity floral by perfumer Ilias Ermenidis with nectarine, passion fruit, lemon blossom, plumeria, osmanthus, rose, vanilla orchid, coconut water, sensual musk and sandalwood.

Sunshine Cuties L’il Angel is a citrus gourmand by perfumer Carlos Vinals featuring lemon, mandarin, blackberry, pink rose, vanilla orchid, sampaquita, sugared patchouli, vanilla bean, skin musk and golden amber.

Sunshine Cuties Music is a sensuous floral developed by perfumer Richard Herpin; the notes include pear, Granny Smith apple, freesia, tiger orchid, jasmine, honeysuckle, cashmere woods, creamy musk and precious woods.

Sunshine Cuties Baby is a dewy floral from perfumer Clement Gavarry with notes of mandarin, wet neroli, sunflower, white poppy, living valencia, orange flower, jasmine, musk, vetiver and birch woods.

Sunshine Cuties G is a creamy musk developed by perfumer Gabriela Chelariu with coconut water, mandarin, bergamot, white peach, heliotrope, tiare flower, orange flower, vanilla, tonka bean, skin musk and sandalwood.

Then Gwen Stefani Harajuku Lovers Sunshine Cuties will be available in 10 ml, concentration unknown, for $30. Look for them in February. (via wwd)

The little dollies are cute. But I was shocked this morning to see two posts of summer/spring fragrances. Do they usually start promoting so soon? For a short time I was obsessed with the original HL but once I bought one I realized I couldn’t wear the fragrance. If I had a cute little neice I would definitely buy her one of the Snowbunnies for X-mas. I will, at leat, smell these whenever they come out at Macy’s.

P.S. I am new to posting at NST (have been reading for a while). How do I change my icon/avatar thingy?

Hi & welcome! Note that both of these were sourced from trade and not consumer publications — so no, they don’t usually start promoting to consumers this early.

Well, yesterday there was some disagreement over most cutesy name. I’m going to throw down the gauntlet again and declare that HL are the most cutesy bottles in all of Perfumedom.

      Hard to argue with that!

Hey, at least these are new formulations, not just new bottles. Gotta give them props for that.

The second part of my comment wasn’t directed at Rustic, BTW. Just something random I added on. I don’t think my Ambien has worn off yet, so if I’m not making sense, blame it on that.

You make perfect sense Miss Kitty V.

      Yep, I’ll agree with that.

I’m glad that the perfumes are new – surprised that they’re doing the summer thing though!

I sort of expected them to after the Snow Bunnies, but agree: glad they changed the juice!

Yep they’re very cutsey, but as soon as I read the words ‘coconut water’ they were added to my must-test list :)

The “regular” G was already coconut-y, and I thought it was the best of the original set.

I did not mean cutesy in a critical sense – I think they’re adorable! ;-)

Im not a fan of the 10ml bottles. 5 sprays and its pretty much done for! And for 30 bucks! I haven’t even given in to any of the 30ml. I liked G and Lil Angel. I’ll try them when I see them but it sounds like I’ll be liking the originals more. Except the new Baby & Love. I hated the original ones so heres hoping these ones are better.

Have a feeling they’re selling better, though…and that’s probably why they’ve done both of the new sets only in the smaller size.

Oh I want these! They’re soooo cute, and I usually don’t go for cute. But there’s just something about them… I tried telling my DH I wanted to buy them for my daughter but he knew better. I haven’t resorted to underhanded campaign tactics and shown them to her yet to get her on my side, but I know he wouldn’t say no to *her* if she said she wanted them so that’s my ace in the hole. ;)

I’m trying to imagine a Citrus gourmand and failing.

They are too cute… but I wouldn’t pay for the 30 ml size either. Better to just get a couple samples, the perfume solid when it comes out and call it a HL day. :)

Histoires de Parfums makes one, but forget what it’s called.

It would be nice to see them in set a bit cheaper than the full price…I hate it when sets come out ages after the release!
It took me ages to make my mind up about the original G…I love it now but prefer Lil Angel and Music! I love all the fantasy perfumes and I think they’re a similar kind of smell.

There is a set for the Snow Bunnies for $100, so they’ll probably do one for these too.

They’re just as cute in person, if you like little plastic dolls.

i saw the dollies at saks and yes they are wonderful i can imagine giving this as a present and be completely a winner !
i smelled some , too light for me , but for a teenager would be amazing , ten years ago and i would have got them all !!!!!
i remember a post about someone looking for a perfume to give to her little flower girls at her weeding i say we have a winner !!!!!
but i must add the dollies are rather big and heavy .

Yes, they’re mostly geared towards young girls. I bought the solids though, because the plastic heads cracked me up.

Theyre fine. Not very memorable. G smells just like the original. Love and Baby are an improvement from the originals. Lil Angel and Music were fine. I really dont remember them at all and I just smelled them this evening. O well.

I smelled them very quickly on paper, and I promptly forgot them too :-)

I smelled them again 2day and the only 2 I care for are G and Love. The rest are a bore. Well more of a bore then G and Love. I’d wear Love happily if someone gave me a bottle. It’s the yummiest of the bunch! : )

You are more persistent than I am — I gave them the one shot and that’s all they’re getting, LOL…

I didn’t know the fragrances had changed until I bought them, so I put on G (which I’ve actually been wearing for the past 2 years…haha) one morning and was surprised to find a different smell. I don’t like the summer edition, it kind of makes me feel sick. It isn’t really THAT different but since I’ve been wearing the old one for so long the change was immediately apparent!
