Clean has launched Simply Soap, a new fragrance for women:

I shudder to think that people are actually buying these things but I suppose there's a market for them or the company woul;dn't continue to churn them out at such a furious rate. Surely they're up to about a dozen [stinky]flankers by now, no? *sigh* Ginormous *sigh*

I can see the whole line: Simply Shampoo, Simply Mouthwash, Simply Deodorant (in Spring Fresh and Unscented), and for the sophisticate, Simply Bidet. Hygiene be damned! I smell clean.

Geez, if I want to smell clean I won't spend $69, I'll just scrub myself with some good ol' inexpensive Ivory soap. In “The Guide”, didn't Luca Turin mention the American obsession with hygiene as the motivator for all these “clean, fresh” scents?
I guess that I am just as perverse: I like to be clean and smell a bit funky.
I'm with you – I have no soaps that smell like “soap” and no laundry products with scents in them. I don't necessarily want to smell funky but definitely more interesting than freakin' soap!
That really was a good one! Perhaps it will come out overseas.
I'd guess they sell like hotcakes, yes! It doesn't make me shudder — they all just smell like dryer sheets to me, and I'd probably rather smell these “on the street” than lot of other things

I think I heard somewhere that Ivory soap has lemongrass fragrance in the mix? Can't remember where though…..

I think I have a bar somewhere in the house as well as lemongrass essential oil. I'll give it a whiff.
Is it me or does a cashmere robe not sound very clean or appealing at all? Eau de damp wool and dry cleaning chemicals.

oh come on. am i missing something, or wasn't the WHOLE POINT of Clean to smell “simply soapy”? i totally appreciate the initial genius of making a clean scent….which was, taking a bar of Dove soap to a perfumer and saying “make this a perfume”. fine. i get that. but the flankers just smell like G R E E D to me.
……and how on earth does a cashmere robe convey SOAP? gagging at “eau de wet wool”, it's right up there with wet dog
this line needs END and come up with something new. they did it once (and only once) surely they can do it again.

the one plus is these scents last an hour maximum so no one is being kncoked over byClean sillage LOL
