I admit I loved BCBG Girls Metro. Because of that, and that the combination of pear and tobacco intrigue me, I think this might be worth trying.

(But am I being overly catty, or is it weird that the creative director has her own image on the box?? A little narcissistic? Maybe?)

Not much different than Tom Ford appearing in the ads for Grey Vetiver…although I guess lots of people thought that was narcissistic too ;-)

He is, but it’s part of his charm. :)

See, I don’t find TF charming at all – in face, every time I see him or hear (read) something that he’s said, I just want to punch him in the face. I don’t know if he’s really that smarmy or if it’s the fact that he reminds me too much of some long ago ex-boyfriend. If I were ever to buy one of his scents, it would be in spite of him, not because of him.

Wow – I didn’t even think that I had that much to say about TF – I guess seeing his smug face last week and reading his dumb quote this week pushed me over the edge – lol.

Hey, at least he buttoned his shirt for once.

            Sorry, that was sarcasm.

I agree. I did try several black orchid, white and purple patch but thankfully didn’t like any. I don’t think I would buy them if I LOVED them just because I think he’s so horrendous.

I’m with you. After a number of ads degrading women, I won’t buy anything his name is on, no matter how lovely. It hasn’t been easy, but it feel pretty good.

Sorry, MissKitty – my sarcasm-meter is currently in for servicing. That, or I still haven’t gotten over the TF-lust invoked elsewhere. There is just something about that guy that skeeves me out.

I don’t know how the reasoning went behind that decision, but I think it’s rather interesting. She’s pretty, she’s not 16 and she may, at least theoretically, have had a hand in the selection, if not the creation of the fragrance… just as good a choice of face as any model, I’d say.

      I loved Metro, too!

I might check this one out, but if it’s purchase worthy, that bottle will have to be hidden – it’s ugly and cheap looking.

From now on there should be a law that celebrities, designers, etc. are only allowed to use their likenesses on perfumes if they are drawn by the guys over at Smell Bent. Can we lobby for that?

The Fragrance notes say… MUST HAVE the Bottle says BORED TO DEATH! couldn’t they have tried even an IOTA to make an interesting bottle? i mean ok, if the scent is slammin, who cares right? but like many chefs say you taste first with your EYES and sometimes a Beautiful Bottle can entice you into something you may never have thought you’d wear, this has no enticement whatsoever! BLAH Bottle, Scent Ought to be Great though from the notes!

Agree, that’s a darned boring bottle. Not a bad price though.

Miss Kitty was right–they have done some nice scents in the past. Some of them were very in-tune with new trends of powdery-fruit florals.

Apple blossom and tobacco…hmm. Watery florals and fruit that somehow enter into the leathery-sweetness territory of amber and tobacco. Bland packaging, yes, but that’s a nice, dusky shade of pink ;) .

I will give it a try if I see it, but I’m tired of watery florals. I do like that shade of pink too!

Hmmm have to agree with the bottle, it is pretty plain jane, the box is the right color, though I would have preferred some kind of design on the box, not a picture, kinda reminds me of celine dion in her ads.

Looks like the bottle is not getting any yay votes today!

If I had to choose one word to describe this horrendous scent.. It would have to be lurid!
