The drydown is one of the most luscious I've ever experienced...a warm, slightly smoky vanilla, but not foody by any means, and exactly what I need to carry me through the last of this horrible, snowy winter! The opening notes are a little too boozy (I smell like the bottom of a rum cask for about ten minutes), but it doesn't take too long to mellow out. And I'm so glad it's an EdP! This is the only L'Artisan that lasts longer than two hours on me. I see a FB purchase in my near future! FINALLY got my hands on a decant of this, and am loving it. I was hankering after a good old spray of Bois Farine or Timbuktu, maybe even a spritz of Dzing! But they had all sold out after the Christmas rush. So I was left to mull over what I would sample........and I went for Havana Vanille. I wish I'd sprayed it more lavishly, as Robin suggests in her review, as within an hour it had died down to a sweet milky residue. Which wasn't too exciting. But the stages preceding the milky pudding were simply wonderful, and perfect for the freezing cold, sunny day in London. I love this scent!
