Guerlain Homme Intense ~ new fragrance

Guerlain Homme Intense

Guerlain has launched Homme Intense, a new deeper and more sensual version of last year’s Guerlain Homme.

The fragrance notes include peppermint, rum, rhubarb leaf, floral accord, geranium, patchouli, cedar and vetiver.

Guerlain Homme Intense can be found now at Debenhams in the UK, in 50 (£48) and 80 (£57) ml Eau de Parfum. It is expected to go into wider distribution in September. (via debenhams, additional information via firstluxe)

I’m excited about this one! My husband loves Guerlain Homme – smells so sexy on him – and I’d love to add another to his collection.

Ooh .. I like those notes. I wonder if it will be too masculine for me to wear though?

I didn’t think the original was at all, but who knows how different it is — will have to give it a shot.

I wear the original, it’s actually a nice one for a woman. I don’t get the mojito at all. If you let it quiet down a bit, like in 3 hours, you will get a whiff of aldehyde, and something sweet and warm. It reminds me of Chanel No.5, but better, softer, less in-your-face-femininity.

    Hmmm… I wear Guerlain Homme sometimes and it’s fine…

The original Guerlain Homme didn´t do much for me…
I hope this one has more character. :-P
Will try this as soon as it gets here.
I must say I LOVE the bottle.
This ranks as classy in my book, along with the reimagining of the Vetiver bottle with clear/frosted glass lines.

I like the bottle too…very handsome.

I like this bottle better than the original – the silver plate on the first fell off almost immediately.

I tested it. Homme Intense is much more woody and darker (and more mature). The mjito accord is still there, only for the first 5min. Good quality but still not very original IMHO

Oh I’m so looking forward to this! I really like the original a lot, but it was a but ‘fleeting’ to say the least. I hope this one is a little more persistent.

Does anyone know how it sold? Didn’t make a big splash, did it?

I doubt they’d make an Intense version if the first one was a flop, would they?

Hard to say…sometimes these things are already in the works when the original is launched.

And sometimes it’s launched to recover the original flop.

Quite so, although I’d be really surprised if the original was a total flop.

i’d love to smell this fragrance. i wish it would come to Africa soon. Guerlain is usually a great quality fragrance, that does not overpower the nose.

Hope you won’t have to wait too much longer!

I found it in Dublin today and bought it! Really, really pleased with it. If you’re a fan of the EDT version, it’s almost identical but lasts far, far longer and seems to pack more of a punch. With just 2 or 3 sprays, I was getting little bursts of it for hours. The drydown is slightly woodier and more minty perhaps, but in general it’s a ramped up version of the EDT.

I tried this the other day and wow! I really liked the original because I’m one of those ozonic/marine lovers so the freshness was appealing. Well…Intense is fabulous and the lasting power is terrific!
