The Body Shop will launch White Musk Midnight Iris in September. The new fragrance for women joins other recent flankers to the White Musk fragrance, including White Musk Blush, White Musk Intrigue and White Musk White Hot Summer.
White Musk Midnight Iris is described as warm and luxurious, and features notes of bergamot, water lily, clary sage, iris, musk, sandalwood and tonka bean.
The Body Shop White Musk Midnight Iris will be available in 30 ml Eau de Toilette and in a variety of matching body products. (via cosmoty.de)

The sage & sandalwood sound good to me. But I haven’t really cared for the WM flankers so far. I like the original WM, still, after all these years. Of course, you know I’ll give it a smell when I walk by TBS at the mall…it will be too hard to resist (because they at least have their testers out!)

I have to wonder what’s up with TBS’ limited-edition-scent rampage lately. They introduce new scents like this, then discontinue them almost immediately. Meanwhile, the Body Shop Depot near me ends up with piles upon piles of these discontinued scents. I recently picked up a bottle of White Musk Intrigue for $4.
I assume it works for them — in terms of getting WM fans to buy another bottle when they might not have otherwise — but who knows!
TBS fragrance only last like an hour on me, so a sniff in the shop is enough to cure the curiosity~ but i think they rarely released perfume so complicated~ a change of marketing strategy?
Possibly, although sort of doubt this will be a complicated scent — the White Musk flankers usually aren’t.
Has anyone tried this yet? There isn’t a TBS near me… I’m curious. I wore the original white musk for years and have somewhat outgrown it but i haven’t ever found something that is as all- purpose of a fragrance.
