The original Cabotine, with its plats fowerycap is a nice litlle perfume, with huge tenacity but a bit fizzy, a combination of Amarige with the champagne and acid spirit of Yvresse by YSL ( forme Champagne). It is a girly scent, made of wite flowers, very persistent , feminine and … how can I put it, it reminds me of the the shirts and dresses ful of frowns and frills and bows )Don’t ask me why ! I don’t think the original Cabotine belongs to modern times , still, it is not out of fashion…. I wore it about 15 years ago and never repurchased. The house of Gres is available where I live only over the internet and although the price is law I never found myself eager to order it on line.

TJ Maxx yesterday – found the Sensuelle and absolutely love it. I got a comment immediately after I applied it. What a good deal for only $12.99. It pays to check Marshalls and TJ Maxx often – these unique scents seem to fly out of there quickly. It’s great fun never knowing what you find there and the prices are so affordable that I find myself buying many unsniffed bottles. Never had a problem returning one if I disliked the scent. Have to LOVE those two stores.

Hold off on the original Cabotine….I’ll send you some. In fact, I”ll send you the entire bottle. It lasted for 3 days on my skin…and I shower twice a day.

Boojum, I saw the same collection! They both sound good til I read “peach” – that’s a no-no note on my skin (Tresor, Halle Berry, etc) with the exception of AG Petit Cherie, and that just didn’t work for me, as much as I like it on others.

…and in fact, there were about 4-5 different scents from this brand there all at the same time. But I’ve never seen any of them where they can be tested and won’t waste money on unsniffed stuff.

You know…I was pretty sure I saw it at Marshall’s a couple of weeks ago too, but thought I must have been mistaken. Good to know I wasn’t losing it after all!
