Nice list...a few on there I wouldn't mind trying myself! I was going to offer up some Hiris, Iris Taizo and Prada Infusion d'Iris but you've already tried 2 of the 3. This thread is 3 pages back but if you see this---I would happily send you a smallish decant of Prada Infusion d'Iris (I have a rather large bottle- -plenty to share) here's my email Daisyloo82@gmail.com

Daisy, I am rather new to iris's which only deepens my infatuation with them. I love how they verge on being edible- with their buttery, almondy nature- without being cloying. I've only tried 2 others: Hiris and PG Iris Taizo.

Some days Hiris is a little too elegant for me. And I think the yummy iris/ wood pudding Iris Taizo would be better suited for Autumn. But Bois d'Iris has been just right for the cool rainy days we had this spring, and the overcast tepid days that are popping up this summer. Topping my to try iris list is Le Labo Iris 39, DelRae Mythique, PG Cuir d'Iris, Guerlain Iris Ganache, L'Artisan Iris Pallida, Iris Silver Mist.

Too bad it didn't work on your skin, but it's always nice for the budget to rule out a perfume. I've never tried Rose Ispahan, but now I'm curious!

*Heavy, sweet, purple, dark* - I espected that, but on my skin it just turned too alcoholic for too long (EdT) and then too light for my taste. In my country it is still possible to buy old, black Ispahan and Rose Ispahan, especially the first one is great perfume, one of my most loved orientals.

Welcome! I'm so glad you're here. Iris is an amazing essence and such an intriguing lure into fragrance. Bois d'Iris is gorgeous. I love the wood in it. I wish my dry skin would hang on to it longer.

I'm so glad you dropped by! Yes, iris is such a changeling. I think if I were a perfumer I'd be obsessed by it.
