Dsquared2 She Wood Velvet Forest Wood ~ new perfume

Dsquared2 She Wood Velvet Forest Wood fragrance

DSquared2 has launched She Wood Velvet Forest Wood, a new flanker to last year’s She Wood fragrance for women. It joins the recently launched He Wood Rocky Mountain Wood, the first flanker to the brand’s debut fragrance, He Wood.

She Wood Velvet Forest Wood was inspired by the ‘majestic beauty of pure, untouched nature’. The notes feature violet leaf, violet wood, musk, galbanum, pine needles, green leaves, amber, vetiver and patchouli.

Dsquared2 She Wood Velvet Forest Wood is available in 30 and 50 ml Eau de Parfum, and can be found now at Douglas in Germany. (via douglas, parfumerie.nl)

It sounds nice. I hope it isn’t as soft as the original…

    “Violet wood”?

The title sounds mildly naughty. Like a euphemism.

I thought so too! And was then embarrassed at my gutter mind. I guess it was reminding me of some book I read once…

Was an illustration of Fabio on the cover?

makes me think of “tipping the velvet” which is definitely a euphemism.

I, too, thought it sounded nasty, but was trying to reign in my guttermind. The names do sound like Caveman English for something dirty. :)

Had to Google “tipping the velvet euphemism.” Goodness me! I learn so many startlingly diverse things here on NST.

Sounds pretty! I haven’t tried any of these, though friends have suggested that I might like the original He Wood. I like woody violet fragrances, in general. The pine needle sound like an interesting “ingredient”.

Yes, H! Do try HeWood. You know where I’m coming from! I do need a bottle, as I mentioned yesterday…

What’s wrong with you, Joe? Krok reminded you just yesterday! Still haven’t tried that one on skin, though He is nicer on paper than She. I liked She on paper…not so much on skin, and that kind of killed my motivation.

I liked He Wood, but didn’t adore it. She Wood was too pale for me.

My velvet forest could use some wood.

          we can talk about Dsquared2….
I was looking at pictures of Britney Spears Circus tour and I am pretty disgusted that Britney has Bill’s Dsquared2 boots only from the women’s collection. Good thing she doesn’t have his Dsquared2 chain suspenders or chain scarf because those are ~*too fierce*~ for BritBrit.

or we can talk about my sister’s baby. My sister had a baby a few minutes ago!!!

I hope pine needles are the new ~*it*~ note, anyone else agree?

I think violets and pine would have a weird effect together. I’d have to sniff this one out. Sounds nice otherwise.
