Wow! I don’t know anyone (I think) whose mother would wear scented sparkle-glitter body wax, but that sure would be one fabulous mom!

Probably the same mom that would find a bejeweled Bond No. 9 bottle an acceptable Mother’s Day gift. Sparkle time!

Joe, ha, perhaps you are right. I do not like Ange ou Demon in any case, but I did love the look of that compact.

Rolling my eyes at the Bond No. 9s. If somebody’s spending $550 on my Mother’s Day present, for heaven’s sake, I want PEARLS. Real ones.

And I’d take a bottle of PdN Le Temps d’Une Fete, if anybody’s listening… anybody? (Who am I kidding – I’m getting that PdR Rose d’Ete as a combination anniversary/MD gift, along with the standard “Why in the heck do you need so many bottles of perfume?”)

Trying to think of what I’d want for $550. Maybe a perfume buying fund? That would cover me for most of the year.

I have the Dark Amber & Ginger Lily Bath Oil, but am not clear what “bathing soak” is!

I assumed it was essentially bath salts — but couldn’t swear to it! All I know is I’d like some :-)

I think I would pass if it was bath salts – they always seem to collect at the bottom of the tub like a layer of gravel.

Well, bear in mind that I don’t know if they are or not :-)

      • Posted on 27 April 2009

I’d like some of that “bath soak”, too, but it seems oh-so-expensive for a bath product! :-(

Yes, it really is!! I’d never spend that on a bath product, I don’t think. Ok, maybe on some Frederic Malle soaps, if I was really flush.

The Givenchy is rather fab, but seriously, if someone was contemplating spending $500 on a single Bond bottle for me, I’d tell them to go & buy me half a dozen of the Ormonde Jaynes instead – & I’d be happy to give them a list of plenty of other options which are less about the outside bling & more about what’s inside the bottle.

I’m not much of a bling person either…I liked some of the earlier “crystallized” bottles from Bond w/ only a few crystals here & there though.
