Aftelier Lumiere ~ new perfume

Aftelier Lumiere fragranceAll-natural line Aftelier has launched Lumiere:

Lumiere is a sheer elegant floral composed of the precious essences of boronia, blue lotus and sacred frankincense. Mandy has created a sophisticated floral that is restrained but sensual. The base chord is built upon notes of fine green tea absolute and the rarest of Frankincense — boswellia sacra from Oman — with it’s ethereal and mysterious resinous woody notes. Lumiere’s exquisite heart features Tasmanian boronia with its aroma of freesias and raspberries, and the transparent watery floral note of blue lotus.

Aftelier Lumiere is available in 7.5 ml ($195) and 2.2 ml miniature ($60). (via press release)

Hmm, are they allowed to just steal the name from Rochas? I had a bottle of Rochas Lumière in the ’80s, and I think they came out with a new version more recently, but perhaps it’s now in the happy fragrance hunting grounds…

It depends on whether or not the name has been trademarked…something I know nothing about!

Depends whether Lumiere is spelt correctly with a grave accent on the second ‘e’ or wrongly without one, in which case it’s not French and it’s not the same name as the Rochas one. LOL!

At first glance I thought it said ” Afterlife” hmmmm….

I think it sounds like an interesting fragrance, and I thought the same thing Natalie did … there’s also a DSH Lumiere!

R while I am here I will mention – the first time I comment on a post, I have to refresh my browser to see it (the way we used to do on NST.) Then after that they appear as I make them. I am a little slow on the uptake, the first couple times I thought I’d gone into moderation!

What concentration is this? Perfume oil I’m guessing? It just seems pricey, but interesting…as usual ha.

Yes, it’s perfume oil, and yes, they’re not cheap!

I was interested, until I saw the price. Wowza… that’s pricey. In my next life, perhaps!

Zowie! Yeah, gauche to whine about price perhaps, but almost $30/ml even for extrait concentration — this’ll have to wait until I become a baroness.

Whining about price is always allowed…but for indie natural, yeah, you’re going to pay…

Wow, I guess if you want to smell “ethereal , mysterious, resinous and exquisite” you had better be willing to take out a loan!

meanwhile, I’ll be satisfied with smelling “real nice” at a less damaging cost.
