Christian Dior J’Adore L’Eau Cologne Florale ~ new fragrance

Christian Dior J'Adore L'Eau Cologne Florale fragranceComing next month from Christian Dior will be J’Adore L’Eau Cologne Florale, a new magnolia-focused flanker for their popular J’Adore fragrance for women:

The Magnolia flower, with its pristine white petals, symbolizes the moment of renewal and perfection in nature: springtime.

The tree bedecks itself with sudden blooms with an extraordinary profusion of flowers that perfume the air. Their star-shaped corollas are extremely soft to touch.

The luminosity of Magnolia finds its olfactory expression in notes that have the distinctive feature of being both citrus and lemony as well as floral.

Additional notes include bergamot and neroli.

Christian Dior J’Adore L’Eau Cologne Florale will be available in 75 and 125 ml. (via tfwa)

Well, I guess we all know now what spring showers REALLY bring……flankers!

So very true! Does not look like the recession is slowing things down at all, so far.

We've got it in work now. My first thought is that it smells like some weird combination of Alien and Dolce Vita!
    75ml is £47 :]

Is that naked woman Charlize Theron?

it does kind of look like her, doesn't it? Only with about a gallon of spray on tan….guess this means a trip to the Dior site to see if there's info. I didn't think Charlize would toss off her clothing for an advertisement though…but who knows these days.

well, I believe it is Charlize! At the official website there is a video starring Charlize for J'Adore and sure enough the clothes are flying right off….guess I'm just old fashioned….on film I generally keep me britches on…

The original J'adore gives me a pounding headache so I'm not rushing out to test this.

Sorry I'm late! Yes, it is her, although she looks pretty darned photoshopped to me.

Thanks GBlue! That sounds almost intriguing :-)

    can I have MYSELF photoshopped?

Charlize gets naked in just about all of her films so her taking it off for Dior wouldn't be a problem :)

You know what I wonder??? Do the people who are the faces for the original smell the flankers the same day? I would hate to sign a 3 fragrance deal with a company because of the first one, and HATE the flanker and they STILL use my face

I wonder why they did that, she's gorgeous, doesn't even need to be photoshopped.!

well, apparently to the media: even drop dead gorgeous isn't perfect enough and I suppose that means that the rest of us non-hollywood types are just busy chasing cars! (oh, and digging in the yard because roads are dangerous)

I know it's supposed to make us want the perfume so WE can be like that too….but in reality it just makes me mad!

JLove, she didn't have to smell anything — they've been using this same photo for J'Adore for awhile now.

Most celebrities seem to be in it for the $$ anyhow.

It appears to be the litmus test of being a big-name…either having your name on a scent or using your image to sell a scent. I wonder how many know anything at all about perfume before they sign the contract.

Oh, I know… and The CEO thinks Charlize is gorgeous so I hope he doesn't take it into his head that I need a bottle of J'Adore.

Actually, I think Charlize is beautiful too. But not J'Adore.

Seems a bit silly to me to hire a very famous, beautiful star to promote your product, then photoshop her picture to the point where the general public won't recognise her. Why not just economise and spend small bucks on a good lookey-likey?

ah yes, the CEO here wisely keeps his trap shut (besides, he has a definite preference for us dark haired/dark eyed gals) but I happen to think that Charlize is one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood AND she seems like a genuinely nice person.

'nillagirl, I agree, she is so photoshopped I had to go to the Dior site to ascertain that it was indeed Charlize. I mean, why bother? Just get the lookey-likey (is that a technical term?)

yeah, no J'adore for me either! shame-faced here…..liked it in the store, bought it, got home and hated it….gave it away a few weeks later…to a friend who loves it. So it's all good.

Now that I know about scentsplits, I would have put it up for sale…..I'm nice but not that nice!

I thought that Daisy Fuentes perfume was a J'Adore flanker too at first glance
    I haven't tried J'Adore…
my room used to be my sister's and she left some things in there, including a bottle of Dolce Vita. I really don't like it all. I like Alien, though.
I could tell that was Charlize Theron, btw

J'Adore is pretty, but not my sort of thing. Would like to try this one though.

I smelled this today. It's quite nice, hardly like the original. On the paper it reminded me of Omnia Amethyste. But since that was unpleasant on my skin, I won't explore this one further. But it's sufficiently different from the original to make it worthwhile.

Thanks — sounds like it's worth a shot, even though I did not like OA.
