I live in the same town (Minneapolis, MN) where Thymes has their headquarters and warehouse. Every year they have a huge warehouse sale. They have the best deals....popular fragrances and body lotions for a fraction of the cost you would pay retail. I go every year. I'm on their email list and they just e-mailed me one day and asked if I would be interested in testing a new fragrance idea. Are you kidding?

OHMIGOSH! how cool is that! Lucky you--I think that would be fun! And it's nice to know that they really do a consumer panel, I kinda wondered if they fudged those details a bit.

I have been on a Thymes consumer panel. They mailed me scented body lotion with only an identifying number on it. I had to use it for a few days and then answer some on-line questions. I'm 50 for whatever that's worth.

Actually I do find them invigorating. When they are in season, they are great to take on a walk, as they are incredibly watery and refreshing - like a little pocket-sized thirst quencher.

Not sure about perfume.

Water lily in perfume is a particular smell...a very light, pale, "wet" floral note. I assume it has no relationship to real water lilies, but once you smell it in 1 scent, you'll recognize it in others.

I have them too, I remember I smelled them before and no scent ;-)

and lychee, I always called them perfumed fruit, but don't really like the idea of them in my perfume though.
