Thymes Naia ~ new fragrance

Thymes Naia perfume

Thymes has launched Naia, a new fragrance that was reportedly “ranked higher than any previous Thymes fragrance” by the company’s consumer fragrance panel.

Like the rhythm of rushing spring waters, Naia activates your senses, leaving you feeling invigorated and keenly aware of the world around. Aromas of water lily and cyclamen are balanced with subtle hints of citrus and lychee, combining to simultaneously revitalize and refresh. With sharpened senses, triggered by the clean, crisp fragrance of Naia, experience more and let distractions fade.

Thymes Naia is available in 50 ml Cologne spray ($34) or in a wide variety of bath & body products. (via thymes)

water lily and citrus certainly sounds refreshing and oh so summery (The winter doldrums are KILLING me today) but I gotta tell ya….the picture above….makes me want to buy it!

summer…beaches…being outside without all the layers…ahhhh…

That is a nice set of packaging, but water lily…. meh. And a “fragrance panel” that's probably made up of 22-year-old women…. double meh.

I just want them to bring back my Fresh Basil products. Waah.

LOL — I totally agree, the picture worked for me too.

Agree, the picture is compelling, the description doesn't really capture my interest. Sorry about your Fresh Basil :-(

I'm trying desperately to not think too much on the implications of their “fragrance panel” …I'm just concentrating on the picture and not the view out my own window to wet-windy-winter-world….ack! that made me look!

I don't really know what to think about water lily —I have water lilies in my koi pond (at least, in the SUMMER I do) and none of the 4 varieties I have , have any scent at all. Maybe they are talking about tropical water lilies…but I don't bother with those as they live only for a couple months here.

Well lychee nuts have always made *me* invigorated and keenly aware of the world…

How is it that none of us were asked to be on the fragrance panel? ;)

lol, keenly aware of the world, huh? that's good to know, it usually takes me about 3 cups of strong coffee to be keenly aware of the world…

well, I'm sure I didn't get invited onto the fragrance panel because I'm not 22 and have the horrible oversight of not knowing what water lilies are supposed to smell like…I mean, what else could it have been?

I have them too, I remember I smelled them before and no scent ;-)

and lychee, I always called them perfumed fruit, but don't really like the idea of them in my perfume though.

Water lily in perfume is a particular smell…a very light, pale, “wet” floral note. I assume it has no relationship to real water lilies, but once you smell it in 1 scent, you'll recognize it in others.

I'd be useless on such a thing — I know zip about what would sell.

Actually I do find them invigorating. When they are in season, they are great to take on a walk, as they are incredibly watery and refreshing – like a little pocket-sized thirst quencher.

    Not sure about perfume.

I have been on a Thymes consumer panel. They mailed me scented body lotion with only an identifying number on it. I had to use it for a few days and then answer some on-line questions. I'm 50 for whatever that's worth.

OHMIGOSH! how cool is that! Lucky you–I think that would be fun! And it's nice to know that they really do a consumer panel, I kinda wondered if they fudged those details a bit.

I live in the same town (Minneapolis, MN) where Thymes has their headquarters and warehouse. Every year they have a huge warehouse sale. They have the best deals….popular fragrances and body lotions for a fraction of the cost you would pay retail. I go every year. I'm on their email list and they just e-mailed me one day and asked if I would be interested in testing a new fragrance idea. Are you kidding?
