Christian Dior will launch Miss Dior Chérie L’Eau, a new flanker to 2005′s Miss Dior Chérie, in March (and see also: last year’s Miss Dior Chérie Eau de Printemps and Miss Dior Chérie Blooming Bouquet).

The new fragrance for women is meant to be fresh and uncomplicated, and is aimed at a modern young woman; it is a lighter version of the original Miss Dior Chérie scent featuring notes of orange bigarade, gardenia and white musk.

Christian Dior Miss Dior Chérie L’Eau will be available in 50 and 100 ml. (via cosmoty.de)

Philosophy Unconditional Love perfumePhilosophy has launched Unconditional Love, a new fragrance for women:

unconditional love is more than a feeling, it is more than a state of mind. unconditional love is all encompassing, a love that knows no limits or boundaries. it keeps on giving without asking for anything in return. philosophy has tapped into the depths of love and bottled its passion into a new, soulful fragrance: unconditional love…

this love-without-limits fragrance features a rich and unbreakable heart of black currant with a soulful floral center and a peaceful soothing finish that brings comfort through a sophisticated dry down.

Philosophy Unconditional Love is currently exclusive to QVC, where it is available in 50 ml Eau de Toilette; it will go into wider distribution in March. (quote via philosophygiveslove)

This sounds nothing like the original Miss Dior Cherie. In a good way.

As I understand it, it is “built on the MDC base” so to speak, just lighter. Whether they've taken out the strawberry & popcorn, I don't know.

That's funny, the base was the only thing about MDC I didn't like. :-D But, admittedly, my tastes tend to skew toward the sweet side. Ah well, I'll still give this a sniff if it comes my way.

It is here in Montreal. A vast improvement on the original, much greener (natch).

My tastes skew towards the dry side, so not a huge MDC fan. If this one is much less sweet, might like it!

Thanks! Is it very sweet? Much gardenia?

Whatever there is fades quickly. Re strawberries & popcorn, gone and good riddance. I hear Diorissimo in the background. Just me? (P.S. please excuse the time lapse, I am at work)

Do I detect the same fearful note in your voice as in mine?

Hey, sounds worth a try — thanks again!

The Diorissimo actually came as a relief after the hyperglycemia of the original Chérie. Forgive me, I am a wizened old-schooler! :~)

Ooh I'm looking forward to this! But I'm scared of gardenia, as it smells like banana skin. I don't know why my nose is so weird. Oddly Chanel Gardenia is the only gardenia scent that doesn't smell like bananas to me…in fact my nose must be a bit bananas! :)

I had to stop to say, what up with that picture? Is she going to drink it? It evokes a baby with a bottle to me, and was just bizarre.

I got to smell this at my local macys. It smells exactly like the original w/ a faint orange smell around it….and the liquid is a much paler green in person…

You're better off w/ bananas…many people find gardenia to smell like cheese.

LOL — and all I could think of was she was about to chip her tooth.

    No gardenia? Too bad!

That was my thought too – they have posed her like a baby at that age when they chew on everything. Frankly, it creeps me out a little.

Same story with the 1970s Halston–smelled gorgeous on my cousin but like bananas on me. (not that there's anything wrong with bananas)

Got a free sample of this today from Sephora!

It doesn't smell at all like Miss Dior Cherie to me (which I love). This reminds me of some other perfume, but I can't figure out what and it is driving me nuts.

    Fades REALLY quickly though.

This would be my review of Miss Dior Cherie L'Eau:
    Omnia Amethyste.
    Not even kidding.

    LOL — well, that's short & sweet.

I second the Omnia Amethyst comment. No wonder it smelled so familiar.

At my last shopping I became a litte sample of Miss Dior Chérie L’eau. On my skin it smelled like Jean Paul Gaultier Ma Dame, but not soo sharp.

I only got to smell the L’Eau very quickly — missed that resemblance.

Well I think it’s my chemistry. Although I am out of the target group, I would wear Miss Dior Chérie L’eau if I would become a bottle. I cannot wear Ma Dame, it is much sharper and after a short time I become a head ache. It smells much better from the bottle than on my skin.

Well, it’s personal taste too: I didn’t love either, but I prefer the Ma Dame :-)

As a scent it’s lovely. If I smelled it without knowing what it was, I’d say it was one of the Omnia EDT’s.
And I like the green colour. But it has no staying power at all.

You’re not alone — it’s compared to Omnia Amethyste above.
